if you are worth 3 billion, why would you spend 1/3rd of your networth on an investment? if its was 500m for the team then thats a little easier pill to swallow.
You are thinking about it wrong. You are looking at it like Oprah has 3 bil in the bank and is going to spend 700 mil of it on a car or a pair of Royals (depreciating assets). She has a net worth of 3 billion so to sell some of her assets to acquire the Clippers would still give her a net worth of 3 billion and could INCREASE her net worth. Let's say that 700 mil she sells or liquifies are things like land or other investments that don't generate revenue. Acquiring the clippers with that money will give her a 700 million dollar asset that WILL generate revenue and/or increase in value. So for someone of her means it's not like you're "spending" 700 mil. It's more like you are trading one set of assets for another.

I hate Dwight.
For obvious reasons, being a Laker fan.
But i also have been on record of hating him before he even became a Laker...for being such a baby.
However, i have to be honest.
Dwight was BALLIN last night.
That was some elite defense he was displaying in the 4th quarter. He was so damn engaged.
And on offense ive never seen him work so hard in the paint, and will his way to the basket over and over again.
If he keeps playing like that, itll be hard to hate him as much.
Harden is going to get a pass because of those 5 points he scored in the 4th and his "block"...
but if it wasnt for Dwight this series would of been a wrap.
Bravo Dwight, i genuinely was sort of proud of you for how you played last night...but i still hate you.

Brooklyn was always the #1 choice. He never wanted to be in LA...and was against going to Houston until James Harden got there.

That's why Shaq and Barkley get on him so much. Dude has the athletic ability of a SG in a 7ft body. He could be one of the greatest centers ever but it's like he's content to be really good.
Honestly, I don't think Dwight loves bball. I think he loves being Dwight and having fun. Nothing wrong with that it's just who he is.

Dwight has been BALLIN all series, the only constant on the rockets. If not for his efforts, Rockets would've been swept.
