Idk why that statement Rose mad has had mad backlash

The bulls and pacers havent had many battles to be rivals thats all he's saying

Yeah but the Bulls have done nothing against Miami so the Heat aren't their rivals either.

Basically he's looking ahead to the Heat when the Pacers A. Look much better than Chicago right now, B. Put up a way better fight against Miami than Chicago did.

I think most people here are enjoying Rose's struggles just because Bulls fans are SO delusional about how good he is. They seem to have forgotten they got washed by Miami when the team was healthy.

D rose thought he was just gonna jump right back into mvp mode during preseason and once regular season hit he got a reality check

Lame how KD didn't win the scoring title last season.

Melo got it because he played less games :rolleyes

They just trying to add more patches.

There have been plenty of athletic high school kids that haven't received the hype that Wiggins has.. so that alone should tell you he's not just an athlete.

And with the Knicks struggling, it's great to see Westbrook back at it... especially this soon.

Gerald Green was a #1 pick?
Nah but I've been saying for awhile that their game reminded me of each other alot.  Obviously Wiggins is the better overall player, but alot of their mannerisms on the court at the high school level were uncanny.  Even the Draftexpress profile for Gerald Green sounds eerily similar to Wiggins

So he was supposed to jump back into average NBA player mode?

Once his shots start falling and the rest of the team gets in sync, they'll be fine.

That's interesting.

How you think Wiggins will do in the league?

What is d rose gonna do different, score more pts? He's severely flawed as a pg, you telling me he couldnt learn how to really play pg and become a student of the game these last 18 months instead of just "improving" his jumpshot, be forreal yall bulls fans are hilarious

"severely flawed"

I think Wiggins will be fine, especially with a year of college coaching under his belt.  He will have a chance to refine all the skills that Green never did coming straight out of high school.  Green always had "potential", Wiggins will realize that potential though, and be a star in the league I think.

Although all the hype is definitely going to hurt him, he might never live up to that, and people will be unfairly disappointed

Same. He reminds me of John Wall when it comes to the hype he had in high school, being ranked #1, etc.

A crazy athletic dude who cant shoot. Once he gets to the NBA where he's surrounded by other long athletic dudes as well, he'll struggle, especially with not having a jumpshot. Like John Wall (whose really good, but just not as good as we thought he could be).

He'll be real good, just not great or worthy of a #1 pick.
John Wall is pretty much living up to what people thought he would be. He just isnt doing it as quickly as some expected. Also, Wiggins is the clear cut #1 PROSPECT, maybe not best player right away.

I REALLY think people are underrating Parker. He's the second coming of Melo, with more effort.

Rose can become a better point guard, but that will not happen until the front office puts a legit scorer around him that can create his own shot.

EXACTLY.

I  dont agree with the Gerald Green comparrisons, but there are going to be people on here that are going to be unfairly disapointed, and calling Wiggins overrated because they expect the "Next LeBron" when he is not really close to that.

While I'm enjoying some Bulls fans getting a little dose of reality, I'm also not as thrilled as some that Rose is struggling.

Mostly because he seems like a decent guy and I don't actively root against players (unless you're Paul Pierce and obviously deserve it). Some of you sound ridiculous that you're so happy he's not doing well. He's struggling, but it's clearly temporary to me. I didn't pay attention to preseason or whatever comments he or fans made because that's not what matter.s On the court matters and I always figured he'd need some time to get back up to speed.

I have no doubts he'll get there and when he does he'll be just as dominant as he was before.

And I'd like Rose and the Bulls to get back on track just to make the East more interesting. Otherwise, since I don't believe in the Nets, its just a two horse race between the Pacers and Heat. Kind of boring that way, IMO.

In contrast, the West is legitimately wide open. There's 3 or 4 teams from the West that have a legitimate shot of making it to the Finals. So, playoff seeding and home court advantage is going to important, which means the regular season games in the West matter. Can't really say that about the East.

When Gerald Green came out of HS, he was not expected to be an average/below average NBA player, so coming out of HS, I think it's a fair comparison. The HIgh School version of Gerald Green and the high school version of Wiggins is indeed very similar.

I've now watched Wiggins a few times and I wouldn't be surprised if he struggled a bit on the college level and the NBA level. His ability in the half court is less than stellar and that for me is always a red flag because if you can only get off in the open floor then your ceiling is pretty low. (Not saying Wiggins can't improve or that he has a low ceiling, but I haven't seen him actually display "game" in the half court)

He's already an average shooter, so what will happen once guys more athletic (college) are in front of him, and when longer, more athletic guys are in front of him? (NBA) It'll be interesting. I don't think he'll be a bust, but he'll have an underwhelming freshman year and I don't see him going #1 in next year's draft.

Maybe, but i dont think he has that pg mindset, when he gets the ball you know hes trying to score, its like him and russ are going in different directions when it comes to playing the pg position
