Seems like Blake and Dwight are the most frustrating players for NT to like because of their high ceilings but mediocre results. Hmmmmmmm.

I didn't say he can't improve or work on his game, but clowns expecting him to get some practice with Kareem and develop a skyhook need to give up that dream  or asking him to get 25 andv15  he'll never be THAT guy for his career. He can improve and get better, but that leap to the next level offensively likely won't ever happen .. Because it should have come already.

like seriously.

thats all you heard. hes working with mchale and hakeem. hes gonna improve.

news flash. he has worked with hakeem while he was still in orlando.

he needs to underhand free throws and call it a day

You guys crack me up with "oh he's working with Hakeem and McHale now...his post game should improve". He's 28 years old and was the #1 pick in the draft 10 years ago. He's probably had the best of the best trainers trying to teach him post moves since he was about 12 with as big and athletic as he is. At some point you just are what you are.

My point being, y'all get so enamored by little things and lose track of the big picture. Is Dwight a great offensive player? No. His offensive output is better than most of his peers though.

Disliking his game is fine. Saying he sucks because he doesn't live up to your fantasy expectations is foolish.

Nobody in the NBA "sucks" you putting way too much emphasis on that word.

Only 1 guy brought up 20 and 25 or whatever it was. Now we all just expect too much out of him? Meh.

and I still don't get how people use numbers to the point they do in basketball. What if one team has stars and excellent spacing and the other team is full of scrubs with no Iq.

Or one team is full of younger players on contract years and another is a veteran team. Or maybe it's easier to get rebounds on a team that can't shoot.

There's just so many variables. At least in baseball it's one on one for the most part, pitcher vs hitter.

Been saying this for a few years now. He is who he is. Modern Day Poor-Mans Bill Russell. (skill - wise)

The '90s had Shaq, Hakeem, Robinson, Ewing, Mutombo, Mourning, Webber, Smits, Oakley, Sekaly, Brad Daugherty. Not to mention young Duncan, young KG (who were better than Dwight is now after their first 2-3 years).
I agree 100%. I wish the media/general public would accept it too and stop hyping dude. Let's focus on Anthony Davis :pimp:
How in the world do you type Oakley's name in that group

Never realized MCW was that old

Yeah that's why some people going in to the draft doubt how high his ceiling was or how much his game really had room for improvement.

Jim boeheim not giving MCW much playing time his freshman year didn't help either

Anyone see Griffin score on several, legit post moves last night? Had a nice hook shot over Dwight and an up and under between Dwight and Asik. He's still got work to do, but he is improving in that aspect of his game.

He's had flashes going back to last year it's just a matter of being consistent and being comfortable with his back to the basket. I don't see him being comfortable from that position yet

Indeed. The quicker he makes a decision when he gets the ball in the post, the more favorable the outcome.

Sidenote, why do you have a map of Culver City as your avy

Its actually a map of Mar Vista, which borders Culver City, and I live in Mar Vista. I'm thinking about changing the avy though; I've had that one for a while.

Mike Malone already sounded so depressed after the kings game. Dude called out the entire team for being selfish and quitting. Yikes. Looks like they're whole campaign that they were changing their culture is going down the tubes

Yeah he looked good. Made a couple of really good moves. Even hit a 3

Same thing for Dwight about getting the ball and going. The longer you wait, the more time the defense can set up

They have too many one dimensional, shoot first players that they rely on. Thornton, Salmons, Outlaw and even Thomas to a lesser extent. Plus, their best player is still immature and easily frustrated. They need to make a couple trades. I would also start playing MacLemore more. Team is not going anywhere this season, so might as well try to speed up his progression.

wheres mjclipperfan?

i saw him around a few days ago on a new screen name. did he get "clipped" again?
