Mike Malone already sounded so depressed after the kings game. Dude called out the entire team for being selfish and quitting. Yikes. Looks like they're whole campaign that they were changing their culture is going down the tubes
That is a change tho.

Malone is holding his players accountable.

Something that can't be said with Smart or Westphal.

Tell me more about how Malone is carrying himself the same way as his predecessors please

No complaints about how Malone is carrying himself at all. I'm just pointing out that it's funny how the kings were pushing this campaign like the culture was going to change and they challenged SI for calling the kings losers, which was accurate. So yeah, take solace that your coach is "holding players accountable", I'm just not sure that'll do much good for that entire situation and roster.

I believe the Kings were upset at Espn for calling them the worse run franchise. Is culture of a franchise purely just w's and L's to you? (Or side step the entire issue entirely again  )

IMO changing the culture meant taking steps in ensure the team and business is ran the right way first and foremost.

Something the Maloofs certainly didn't foster.

Culture is not having mostly selfish, quitting, non-leaders on your roster. At least to me. Looks like Malone has a lot to look at with this team.

As far as ownership up top, yeah, I'm assuming anything was better than the maloofs

Anyone see Griffin score on several, legit post moves last night? Had a nice hook shot over Dwight and an up and under between Dwight and Asik. He's still got work to do, but he is improving in that aspect of his game.

He has several good moves like this every game. Even is starting to step out beyond the 3 and shoot it with confidence. People will ignore that and wait until he makes a bad move on the post to say "He's terrible, he only dunks. He only works on his commercials in the summer"

with blake its more that he's so athletic that he has gotten away with his awkward looking post moves his whole life, now that he's in the nba that stuff wont work. I would love to have blake on my team and watch him grow as a player, his game is raw now but this is only his 4th year and he seems like a good team guy. hopefully doc will be able to talk him into working harder on the non athletic aspects of the game

im pretty sure there amount of hate blake gets in here will be a lot less if people didnt go around giving him MVP trophies

its like everyone knows kobe is one of the greatest of all time but if i went around saying that hes better than jordan kobe would get a lot of "hate"

I'm glad to see Evan Turner starting off the year well. Always liked his all-around game. I wasn't ready to give up on him when others came with the busy label. Hope he keeps it up all season.

Contract yr. Once he gets paid, he's going back to his old ways. I can feel it.

All blake needs is a consistent mid range shot right now and he'll be a top 3 pf in the game, f*** post moves that will never be part of his game

That does happen on here though. And Kobe (and his fans) does get hate for it.

yeah i know, im just saying that in most cases the hate a player gets in here is more on the fans than what the player is actually doing

I agree with that... I think the culture change is mainly on DMC, and honestly I know this I hard to believe or not sound like a homer, this far in the season he has made some improvements. The rest of the culture I think will come from developing IT and DMC, the departure of some expiring contacts/dead weight and bringing in some vets (Landry I think was brought in for this).

I still have trust in this culture change campaign but I know full well that it's not gonna happen overnight or even over one season

But for how I'll take consolation in seeing the upper management, coaching staff, and even the fact that we now have a scout staff as a sign of progress  the player transactions and wins will come :pimp:

For once I have faith and hope. Not darkness and despair that's clouded over the Kings for the last 5 years

He does have post moves though  they just look a bit awkward because they don't look as pretty as a traditional power forward's but he's good on the block. And that Mid range is for sure coming along.

Most underrated player on NT
