Spurs are 17-25 from the field, Knicks are 9-31.

I agree with that... I think the culture change is mainly on DMC, and honestly, this far in the season he has made some improvements. The rest of the culture I think will come from developing IT and DMC, the departure of some expiring contacts/dead weight and bringing in some vets (Landry I think was brought in for this).

I still have trust in this culture change campaign but I know full well that it's not gonna happen overnight or even over one season

But for how I'll take consolation in seeing the upper management, coaching staff, and even the fact that we now have a scout staff as a sign of progress  the player transactions and wins will come :pimp:

For once I have faith and hope. Not darkness and despair that's clouded over the Kings for the last 5 years
Well put. The only thing I'll say is I don't know if cousins will ever meet your expectations as a leader but you really don't have much of a choice. I've always feared he'd "get it" down the road on his second or third team much like ZBo did

All blake needs is a consistent mid range shot right now and he'll be a top 3 pf in the game, f*** post moves that will never be part of his game

He does have post moves though  they just look a bit awkward because they don't look as pretty as a traditional power forward's but he's good on the block. And that Mid range is for sure coming along.

Most underrated player on NT
I'm curious if dudes actually watch Clippers games.

His moves are far from aesthetically pleasing, but he's solid when he catches the ball down there.

As a 4 without a reliable jumper, you're not scoring well above 20 ppg on well above 50% FG if you can't create for yourself on the block.

I think people magnify the playoffs and I don't blame them. Blake in the playoffs just hasn't done nearly enough with his back to the basket. Injured or not. He does have flashes but he hasn't consistently shown comfort on the block. He holds the ball and is indecisive more times than not. Especially the past two years in the playoffs

in that first blake video, im pretty sure that second move is a travel.

blake's post game is not polished and his footwork could be better but he's still an above average post player in todays league

I believe the Kings were upset at Espn for calling them the worse run franchise. Is culture of a franchise purely just w's and L's to you?

IMO changing the culture meant taking steps in ensure the team and business is ran the right way first and foremost.

Something the Maloofs certainly didn't foster.
Culture is not having mostly selfish, quitting, non-leaders on your roster. At least to me. Looks like Malone has a lot to look at with this team.
you are forgetting that this roster is Maloof Built.  there are selfish players and scrubs(Salmons,Thonrton,Patterson,Outlaw,Hayes,Thompson) on the team thanks to them, its not our new owners or coaches fault

I'm not forgetting anything. I never said these players were the ownerships creation.

ok well its not like the new management could just cut 80% of the roster in the time since they took over.  its going to take some time to overhaul the roster.  doesn't mean the culture isn't changing.  the coach calling out the players is awesome to me and a sign of the changing culture, they deserve it, and the fact that he said he has seen enough and is making changes to the lineup after 5 bad games is very refreshing to me. it's great to finally have a coach who will not put up with lackluster selfish play.   i guarantee Marcus Thornton and John Salmons are done in the starting lineup

You keep assuming. I never said they should ship players out. If you do a simple google search you'll find a number of articles quoting players that the culture is changing within the current roster. I wasn't expecting new players for the culture to change, I was under the impression the current roster had changed their culture. Apparently they still have a way to go with that.

The real problem IMO is black relies on backing his man down too much, he needs to face the basket more in charles barkley mid post area more, and beat guys like Zach, Gasol, off the dribble.

When blake is scoring well with his back to the basket the answer always seems to be put a tall slow heavy guy and let him try and shoot jumpers.

In no particular order.

LaMarcus Alridge, Z-Bo, K Love, Ol man Timmy, and Dirk.

Nobody's gonna convince me Blake is more consistent and better than these 5.

Anthony Davis quickly putting his name in there as well and David Lee produces numbers too even though he plays no defense.

Can't say one is really better than the other in this group. All have their flaws, whether it'd be age, no defense, rebounding etc. etc.

Do you lose your memory by 28 or something? He could still learn some post moves but hes not gonna get any better if he doesn't consistently use them on the court. Build muscle memory, confidence, soft touch and it will come naturally the more you do it. Lebron didn't have a consistent jump shot until a year ago. Howard could still develop post moves through out the span of his career... or not. I don't care.
of course he can, its just that in his 10 years in the nba he has done nothing that would make anyone believe that he's serious about learning post moves

This is probably one of your lone sensible posts. Critical yet logical, and not sounding like you hope he fails and being Skip Bayless. You and others should try this more often.

Agree with lluv's post as well

This may sound silly, but I would take Griffin over ZBo except when they play each other  .Blake probably will never get the opportunity to just dominate ZBo. Zbo just does not allow it.

Man I had to check NBA.com to verify that Spurs/Knicks score.

Thought my eyes where playing tricks on me when I saw the score on the Knicks' broadcast.

Outside of the Pacers, the top teams in the East haven't been that impressive thus far this season.
