The problem is the Rockets severely bungled Asik.. They are killing their leverage, the asking price, and everything for him.

He has to play to have value. He can't play on the court with Dwight.. So he may get 10 minutes a game if lucky

Longer Rockets wait. Less they will get for him. Also other teams don't have to meet the Rockets high asking price... They just have to play the waiting game.

Asik has already proven last year that he can play. He doesn't have to play to have value, he was a very important piece on our team last year and teams took notice. Best believe Murray is on the phone right now with plenty of teams inquiring about Omer. You think Morey, who is a god, will get peanuts for a proven starting center (top 5) ?

Essential just wants Asik traded for Meeks and some Al Harrington shoes. With teams needing legit centers, the Rockets very well do have the leverage, which is why they're not scrambling to trade him for a box of rocks.

I'm being perfectly honest about the Asik problem.

Al Harrington shoes still exist?

I don't see how he's wrong that team has lost leverage. Maybe not about Asik losing value , but because teams now know they they HAVE to trade him, which is proven to reduce value.

Yeah this thing about needing to play asik.... he refused to play. Wasn't even at the game last night. We'll be fine without him, but better once we replace him.

With the Sixers GM being the ex-assistant to Morey I wonder if we would be interested in sending them either Hawes or Thad for him. Idk if I'd trade either of them for him at this point though and I can't see Asik working that well next to Noel either.

Of course they still exist, Pharrell had some on the other day in China

Yooooooooooooooooooo I'm literally dying...

The bad PS is one thing.. But the fact that the picture was upside down

The thing is when you go down the list of teams, most already have a starting center and/or are tanking and don't want to take on 2 years for Asik... It's very unlikely the Rockets get great value from a trade

possible trades for omer asik:

tristan thompson and alonzo gee
brandon bass and jordan crawford
ersan ilyasova and john henson
thad young/spencer hawes and tony wroten
channing frye and gerald green
thomas robinson and wes matthews

LOLWUT? Why the **** would we trade Hawes, Thad and Wroten (why is Wroten's name in any trade scenarios?) for Asik...? No way in hell the Bucks would trade Henson and Ilyasova for him either.

I think he is saying either Hawes or Thad... Not both like you did.

Thad young/Spencer hawes and Tony wroten

=

Thad young and Tony wroten

Or

Spencer hawes and Tony wroten

I guess I should've cleared that up. My bad folks

^^ nah wroten is a keeper we got dude for literally nothing at all...he brings a ton of energy off the bench as 6th man and the kid is only gonna get better he's actually a year or two younger than MCW and been in the league for a year (though he didn't play in Memphis)

I wouldn't want Asik he's solid but sixers are gonna try and trade Thad and or hawes maybe ET for young players and load up on draft picks.

OKC could potentially be a nice fit for Turner but I dunno if it'd work out....they definitely have lots of young potential players the sixers would be interested in for the cheap to preserve our tank

I kind of think the Kings would be a nice landing spot for Asik (assuming they move Boogie to PF).

Maybe build something around Thompson (or Patterson) and Hayes?

NEW YORK -- Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire is growing frustrated with the minutes limit the team has placed on him.

"It's making me look like my game is gone or that I don't have game anymore because when you play five minutes, it's just tough to really get in a rhythm," Stoudemire said before Saturday night's 110-90 loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

In an effort to protect his oft-injured knees, the Knicks have placed Stoudemire on a limit of 10 minutes per game. He has been playing two five-minute intervals.

"It's tough to play five minutes and expect to be great in five minutes. It's almost impossible," he said. "By the time you get up and down and get adjusted to the speed of the game, it's already three minutes, and then in two minutes you're out of there. And if you miss a shot, it feels [like] the world is collapsing on you because you're expected to do so much and somewhat win the game in five minutes and it's tough. It's hard to deal with."
