HP Basketball is saying Celtics would take Amar'e... But Knicks would have to take Gerald Wallace and Courtney Lee back to NY.


Would be another panic trade made by the Knicks, and even with Rondo, I'd leave town if i were Melo

What actual future asset would Boston be getting in this trade? What am I missing?

I guess that would make more sense. I still don't think it makes sense to trade Rondo for that crap, but it seems like Ainge has never valued him that highly.

Ohhhh. I would have guessed for sure that Amar'e's contract was worse than Wallace and Lee's contract combined.

this is exactly why he refused to sign anywhere for a non-guaranteed contract. I think that's what the suns tried to offer him.

There must be a team out there that would give a young asset or pick for Rondo.  I can't see why they would trade him without getting picks.

Hell, why do they want to trade this guy at all?  He's a great player.  He must really be that bad in the locker room or something.

Kris expires after this year. Gerald expires the year after Amare, Melo, Bargs, and Tyson are done. This time instead of having space for 3 max contracts we'd have space for 2. Great.

I'm sure if Boston REALLY wants a 2014 first round pick they can move Bradley for one.

Why would he sign a non-guaranteed contract when 99% of the league signs guaranteed contracts?

This aint the NFL. If you're giving me an incentive laden & another team is giving me a hunnid mil that is 100% guaranteed, I'm going with option 2.
