Thabo for Waiters?

Austin Rivers+filler for Waiters?
Yeah I mean mayyyybe if he has any chance to be a decent player, coming off the bench for the Thunder might be an example of a good situation...

Smh dion is better than JR at everything besides range on his jumpshot, dion going to knicks automatically makes him the 2nd option, dion can also create for others, yall sleeping on him but its ok

i'd be willing to take a flyer on him on the thunder..

then we move lamb into the starting lineup.. and still have reggie (who can backup both guard spots)

if waiters doesnt work out, we still have 3 solid guards

CLE has not gotten lucky at all with their picks thus far.

Only Kyrie looks like a perennial all star.

They're trying to trade Waiters, Bennett is out of the rotation despite being healthy.

:smh:

I'm going to save all of this to discredit you when you go off defending Carmelo Anthony again.

I'm calling an L for Portland @ Phoenix tonight.

The Clippers-Knicks game is going to be closer than it should be. Due to the multi-day lay-off and this being Thanksgiving eve, Clips are going to come out sluggish.

It's funny how y'all hate players that are actually producing, but cape for underachievers who aren't.
That pretty much sums up a good portion of NT's NBA opinions.

The Sebastian Telfair and Jerryd Bayless defending that went on for years

...  People talking about how great the Cavs would have been with Dajuan Wagner, Darius Miles, and Ricky Davis

Meanwhile Dwight Howard sucks, though.

You're on your own on that one buddy.

Please dont mention Dion and Melo in the same sentence. We get it, he's not a #1 option and a ball stopper/black hole w.e. But at least he's arguably one of the top scorers in the game, plays hard (at least this year), rebounds, and tries to help his team win.

I really dont know anything good Dion Waiters does. He's like a blind homeless version of Monta.

Monta is terrible, stop.

Half of yall were calling cliff smith a troll for saying monta=d rose, but now all of a sudden monta is in the right situation smh, i swear last season dudes were saying monta is a chucker & is nothing but a 6th man

Oh I'm not comparing Melo and Dion, I'm not delusional even though I'm not a Melo fan (All those things you say about him are true).

I just didn't agree with Black Migo's statements about Carmelo, which are basically the same as what he said about Waiters.

i dont think anyone has said dwight sucks as in he's kwame status or anything

but im not going to get into this, like i said, not going to bring up dwight until the playoffs

Can you Be more specific?

For instance, people, yourself included, are defending dion when he hasn't done anything worth praising. But Blake Griffin sucks when dude is playing great ball.

I bring up statistics, and people complain "oh you don't watch the games blah blah blah". The problem is some of y'all watch the games, just not objectively.

I'm not saying dion can't become a good player, but I can't sit here and argue he's gonna do x y and z when he hasn't consistently shown ability to do so.

just to be clear.. i'm not or havent defended him..

i simply wouldnt mind the thunder taking a flyer on a guy who could potentially be a great scoring punch off the bench for us.. if we only have to give up thabo (and i would be willing to throw in a 2nd if needed)

low risk/high reward, since thabo is probably gone in the offseason anyways.. and we have 3 other guards already (russ, lamb and reggie)

It's often a certain type of underachiever that's defended on here, IMO.

Shoot-first, low-efficiency players, volume scorers, usually guards, often undersized.

I wonder what it is about that type of player that is so popular with some people.

Or maybe I just see it that way because I'm not a fan of that type.  But I have noticed it.....

Can you give the ball to blake griffin in clutch situations and depend on him to win you a game? Thats what superstars do, the blake hate is because he gets treated like a superstar but i dont see one on the court, yeah hes playing great basketball, but dont sit here and act like cp3 isnt part of it, and dont bring up rookie season 20 & 10, that team went nowhere, blakes game didnt make him a superstar, his dunks did

I respect Dion speaking out this way. It shows that he actually cares and is not just there collecting a paycheck. Then again he is a young player so you would hope for that out of him. But I would take a flyer on him no doubt.

Most people see one of these dudes drop 25 points one game and suddenly swear they're stars in the making, or they've seen something special about their game. It can't possibly be because they chuck up shots and are bound to have a good-looking game once
