Can we not have top 5 lists? It's pointless comparing players at different positions

Besides, it's impossible for everyone to agree.

Worst case scenario: It drags on for pages and no resolution.

Best case scenario: Everyone agrees to disagree, and what does that accomplish?

This current Paul George fascination is eerily similar to everyone's fascination with Kyrie Irving last season and look how that's turned out

Did you say careers  what you smoking pimp?...

KD is only like a year and a half older than PG and KD's offensive game is still improving. A LOT.

so yea, I'm gonna guess he'll have a better offensive game for the duration of their careers. again, no slight to PG, but KD might be the most offensively gifted scorer since MJ. He doesn't really have a weakness offensively. and he's working on being good to elite in almost every facet of offense.

????

Kyrie is one of the better young PG's in the game. He's only like 22.

and with that, I'd say PG's hype is more warranted. His defense is already solidified as DPOY level. That won't change.

Add his consistently offensive improvement and there you have it. HYPE.

Kyrie never defended anybody

Not to mention, Paul George showed up big in the playoffs last year. That's a big reason he's getting the credit now that he is and is also something that makes it different from the Kyrie situation.

Remember when the entire Knicks fanbase wanted Tyson Chandler gone after he had a tough, like, one month last year (probably mostly because of injuries/fatigue), even though he was always clearly the second-best (and maybe most important) player on the team?

This is what you wanted?

This x 100. It took the Knicks falling to 3rd worst in the league defensively for people to realize how much of an impact he makes when healthy.

And another thing, it wasn't too long ago when the majority of Knick fans were acting like it was all D'Antoni's fault and Woodson was the savior. I hope this vindicates Mike D to some extent.
Raymond Felton > Jeremy Lin

Dudes wanna say they will take john wall over any pg besides cp3 & russ but we cant say pg24 is top 5

Remember last year when everyone and their mother was trying to say how much better Kyrie was than Curry?  Just funny to me.

the difference between lebron and KD is huge, to the point where KD is passing up end of quarter shots just to protect his FG%

kd is with out a doubt better than pg but lebron is not even on the same planet as KD
I agree that there's a big gap between current LeBron and KD, but I don't see what that has to do with it.  A lot of players do that, even though it's pretty stupid.  KD is still the second best in the league by a wide margin.

paul george's game reminds me of kobe bryant (when he still played defense)
to me, he is top 5. guess the rest of ya will put him in after he hoists that chip at the end of the yr

just gonna say nah again. and even thought I'm not really entertaining the end of quarter thing, its pretty irrelevant if true. There's a bunch of other factors to being a basketball player and KD has closed the gap on his defense. (Bron's D is actually a bit overrated). Meanwhile, he's a more potent offensive player. Don't reference the assists either b/c KD is there.

i would give cp3 the slight edge over kd at the moment, and i dont like cp3 at all
