I still can't believe Curry is #6.

Parker should be ahead of Curry and Kyrie. And I forgot all about Dwight!

GMs go with Heat, LeBron James

NBA general managers are playing it safe with predictions this season.

In a poll of all 30 GMs conducted by NBA.com, the Miami Heat were chosen to win their third consecutive title, and LeBron James was selected to capture his second straight MVP.

James would join Michael Jordan and Bill Russell with five MVPs. Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (six) has more.

For the first time in the 12-year history of the survey, Kobe Bryant was not voted the top shooting guard in the league. That honor went to the Houston Rockets' James Harden.

The Orlando Magic's Victor Oladipo was voted most likely to be rookie of the year.

The GMs also selected the Heat to win the title last season. This year, the Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs tied for second place in voting for most likely team to win it all.

Wait hold up...

Why is Harden better than Kobe? When did this happen? Yeah he's injured and what not, but that affects this season approaching. Up until this point, Kobe is the better player out of those two easily.

I also think Russell Westbrook is the best PG in the NBA, but again I'm probably in the minority in that one.

And finally Steph and Kyrie are both too high. Neither has done much in the L thus far except make fancy plays and score a lot of points. (Especially Kyrie. Steph albeit very talented and is a favorite of mine, just now touched the postseason and was pretty subpar against the spurs)

Oh yeah, and Tony Parker routinely gets snubbed. Crazy how we'll only start to appreciate his greatness once he retires.

can someone please tell me what does tony parker do better than steph and kyrie, besides being a better finisher than steph, i swear having a supporting cast is underrated

I think we're all just splitting hairs at this point.

Once you get past the holy trinity of LeBron, Durant and Paul, it's really a toss up of the next 5-8 players.

Yup. Thats why I retracted my Russel comment.

I have said this many times, only 3 guys really effect winning in an out-sized and dramatic way. LeBron, Durant, and Paul.

and a healthy Dwight (who may never be coming back)

For one thing he's automatically a better defender than Kyrie, and he runs the team better than Steph even though Steph is underrated as a pg.

He's slightly better than Steph. Way better than Kyrie at this point. The thing with parker is he understands game flow, time and clock, shot selection, who to get the ball to, and knows how to run a crisp offense.

He's underrated some, but not as criminally as others make it seem. He really benefits from a great supporting cast and system, however he plays the PG position exactly how his team needs him to play it. I still think Timmy is the best player on the Spurs.

Tony Parker :pimp:

French Connection, he's not underrated though, maybe by the casual fan but anybody who knows basketball appreciates the man

Still laugh at how he got caught between the fight with Drake and Chris Brown, how random was that ****

Dwight absolutely would be in that 3-4 range, if healthy.

Bron-Durant then Dwight and Paul, with Rose, Steph, and healthy Russ the next tier.

The Steph like jump, could be George if he becomes what everyone expects. But that's 82 games + playoffs. Has to be all year.
Why don't I see Harden anywhere in this post?

so yall both basically giving him the edge over kyrie, steph based off experience? and i never seen tp put the locksmith on any opposing pg so is he really a better defender? No he doesnt run a team better, he just has a better team/coach and playing with the best pf your whole career helps

I didn't say tp locks anybody up but kyrie is considered one of the if not the worst defender in the league

Look if I told you one of

Steph, Kyrie, Paul George, Rose, westbrook was now your franchise player.

Would you really be SIGNIFICANTLY more or less excited, with who you got?

like really?

The reality is its, Lebron Paul, Durant and everyone else.

hell yea. not all of us are stat geeks and actually watch the games and have preferences as to who and what style of play we want to watch.

out of the players u listed i would be most eager to build a team around westbrook
