If Iguodala is your #2 option you ain't going nowhere.

He's perfect right where he is with a bunch of scorers/shooters all over. He can be pretty much the 4th scoring option, fascilitate and play great defense.

Am I the only one who finds it extremely far-fetched that James Harden was out late partying when OKC was in Miami? I can see maybe he did it for one night......maybe but I would expect he would doing it once his play started to decline or his teammates to put him in check once they find out. Word to Kendrick and Muscle Chestbrook.

jordan had tons of late nights before big games, jr smith is known for his playoff club adventures, a lot of nba players do it

Who even cares. I dont care if my athletes are socially responsible, they are not activists, they are athletes.
exactly, i dont care if kobe had sex with that woman in colorado, he is still my favorite player ever. i dont even care if he had sex with a boy in colorado and used that girl as a coverup id still love him
But on a really serious note this. An athletes personal life has no bearing on whether or not I like them as an athlete. Kobe cheated on his wife which is not something I condone, but it has nothing to do with him playing basketball so I do not care.
yes i completely agree with you. basketball players should be looked at as basketball role models, not life role modesls

Exactly. He's not a scoring machine anyhow. He is more of glue guy with great intangibles.

2nd best player, 3rd/4th scoring option. Point is, this makes no sense.
Grantland has an article today comparing Andre Igoudala to Scotty Pippen. One of the stupidest things I've ever heard. What a wildly overrated player.... He's the Alex Smith of the NBA. Given plenty of chances to be a star, was hugely disappointing, now because he managed to be decent people fall over themselves to praise him.
I've never seen Iggy as being disappointing...
He was for Philly when they expected him to be a #1 guy and carry the team.

These writers live for and off comparisons it seems these days regardless rather or not it makes sense.

It makes perfect sense. He was very disappointing for Philadelphia when he was sold as a star and failed to live up to it.

He obviously can be a great contributor to a winning team , but that doesn't make him not a disappointment .

And to compare him to Scottie, with all that said, is a tremendous insult to Scottie.

Iggy in Philly more often than not used to play all 82 games at around 40 minutes a night while guarding the other team's best player every night and scoring 17-20 points with 5-6 boards and 5-6 dimes. To say he was "very disappointing" means that expectations were never in the right place to begin with. He's not LeBron James.

Yeah, I wonder what Woodson is saying to Melo too. The guy's going to have multiple ulcers as a result.

...or Scottie Pippen

And you are right, expectations for him to be the best player on a good team were way out of wack. I'm not hating on the guy but he did commercials saying he wanted to be the best 6er ever, got the huge contract, etc. And he hit that ceiling pretty clearly on his way up

You probably are. I mean he was dating Trina, who is a rapper from Miami. LeBron'n'em probably set this up from jump street, word to Sampson and Delilah. It's not far fetched at all as it is well documented Harden loves to party and strip clubs and all of that. It also wouldn't be unprecedented, Avery Johnson moved the Mavs out of their downtown Miami hotel into one in Ft Lauderdale during the 06 finals because he felt they were having too much fun and not being focused. Beyond that though, I think the Heat and Bosh in particular are just really good defensively on that pick and roll and were ready for the fact James loves to split those and his tricky Euro step drives. He was also unhappy about shots allegedly after game 1 and Fisher and Perkins had to talk to him, so he could have already been mentally checked out and looking forward to impending free agency
