2013-2014 NBA Thread - IND @ WAS and OKC @ LAC on ESPN

With Thibbs still having the starters in at this point and OKC not, really makes me believe an article that read free agents do not want to go to Chicago while he is the coach. Word is that he runs his practices like highschool, suicides,17's etc., practices are 3 hours long and all you do is focus on defense very little offense and no scrimmaging. Where opposed to Miami a practice can be 45 minutes if everyone goes hard and that is it for the day.

-I really wonder if free agents take the type of practices into consideration, where they are above the "highschool" stuff. One thing I can say you can see they are well coached on defense....

I hate it but I've been so busy with this whole life thing that I have barely read anything on the NBA. Can anyone quickly compile a good list of preview resources for the upcoming season? I need to get re-acquainted with the current state of the league. I see Grantland has been doing something substantial with its YouTube channel this year. Should that be my first stop?

Also, this thread moves too damn fast.

Thibs going hard to win this preseason game in Kansas, still got Rose, Deng, Dunleavy, Taj Gibson, Boozer in there trying to finish off Fisher, Lamb, Roberson, Steven Adams, and Perry Jones. Isn't that how (when) Rose tore his ACL to begin with, in a game up double figures with a minute left?

Let's not get into this again. Thibs kept Rose in that game because in the playoffs, you have to demoralize your opponent early and often. They were the #1 seed and were establishing dominance. Also, it was a non-contact injury, which means it was probably coming anyway. It just happened at a convenient moment for armchair quarterbacks to criticize everyone involved.

Lol it's not like that. Thibs said three games ago that he planned to play his players regular season minutes the last two games of the preseason.

So damn true

I still question if the Bulls can score enough. Was thinking whenever the Bulls play their last game this year, it's a countdown until Boozer is amnestied right?

Bulls closing line up is? Kirk, Rose, Butler, Deng and Noah? More so against Miami?

I believe Russ will boot the minute he can and maybe

take Love with him and then Durant will jet too but not Houston but maybe another Texas team.....
I think the Bulls closing lineup will be Rose, Butler, Deng, Gibson, and Noah...

no were just stating facts we keep up with our own team so we actually know whats going on. Thibs has been ultra conservative and said last 2 games would be more minutes
Nobody has to keep up with a damn thing to tell you that it was a stupid move to leave him in against a trash team when the game was already sealed.

Seems like you're the one being sensitive... The irony

As already stated, it was a non contact injury...he could have torn his ACL on his way to the locker room. Just unfortunate it happened during garbage time and Thibs got a good part of the blame for it when it was just a freak injury.

normally id agree but when your star player hasn't played in a year and has only closed out one preseason game and the season starts in 6 days I think the choice was valid... guess you should keep up
