Curry is a great finisher to my eyes.

I don't have the stats or anything, but he's really good at floaters and making all types of crazy spinning layups. I would surprised if the numbers have him as a subpar finisher

Yeah well he's below the league average finishing around the rim and in the paint  I don't know what to tell ya.

He does have an array of nifty trick shots around the rim, but those shots are hard and he uses those to compensate for his lack of athleticism and size.

does steph even make the all-star team?

cp3
russ
tp
lillard (has to if they are one of the top teams)

kobe
harden

i like stephs gm, but even as a w's fan, i dont think his style will be successful (too many jumpers)

So steph not a below average finisher at the rim now?

His lack of finishing at the basket is why he hasn't done the 50/40/90 thing. He also doesn't get to the ft line at a high enough volume. And YES, Curry is a below average finisher at the rim

Thank you  I was too lazy to get that screenshot haha

To his credit though, being able to consistently put up 23-25 a night without scoring in the paint nor getting to the line much is an incredible feat and speaks volumes about the things he does well. I just don't think his style of play is conducive to winning.

Steph is no doubt a better scorer nash would ever be, but that wasnt nash's style
Just give steph time man, he's on his way to becoming a Nash type player. Who knows if steph's peak will be as high as Nash's but he's already developing at a much faster rate than Nash did

steph is more mark price than nash. great shooters and didnt rely on athleticism
nash was a 2x mvp (even though i still think kb and timmy were better) and made his team better. suns were sitting at the top of win column

We shall see. Again, give steph time to get his team to the top of the conference. Look at Steve's first four years compared to steph's

4 rpg for a "non athlete" but he doesn't rebound.

And steph is a solid defender. He will never be considered a great defender because he plays for GS and they idea that they don't defend. He gets after it on the defensive end

Curry cannot stay in front of CP3, D-will, Westbrook, TP, Kyrie, Lillard they would eat his food

Wow. This is on point. Good ****. Love the mark price comparison.

if steph was mark price, i'd be happy. dude was multiple time all-star and one of the better pgs during that era. made multiple all-nba teams.
i may be showing my age, but mark price was a bad man. he was money coming off a screen just like steph today

So how many guards are going make the all-star team in the west...

Westbrook
Lillard
Parker
Cp3
Curry
Harden
Kobe
Klay
Monta
Lawson
Conley
Bledsoe
Rubio
Jrue

If you include Bledsoe you gotta include Dragic hahahaha

Between Paul, Westbrook, Parker, curry and Lilliard someone's gonna get screwed out of all star and all nba teams

Speaking of which, who is going to the all star game/weekend this year? I am buying my package this Friday, looks like it'll run about $1000 for the tickets alone and I'll do hotel/car/flight last minute

Of course it would be more likely, I'm just saying there isn't anything crazy about saying Lilliard could end up being better than wall
Fair enough, anything can happen. Look at Drose.

Well damn, you're right. Now that I think about it, he doesn't really attack and finish with contact.

That's probably never gonna be in his game at this point. Fortunatealy he is a GOAT-level shooter so, it's okay

cot damb ill-ard with 36 pts, 10 assist, 8 rebs, a block, AND the game winning 3 at the buzzer! SON HAD HIMSELF A GAME! I wanna get excited so bad but I keep waiting for that season ending injury news. I just can't trust this team with my heart :wow:
