The East is ******g awful. If Wall is the future superstar you guys make him out to be he should be able to lead them to a better record than 10-13.

Lillard is a good passer in his own right, he just doesn't need to set up everything for his team because he has other guys that can make plays for themselves on his squad. Neither of them are great defenders so that's kind of a moot point. Wall only averages .7 rebounds more than Lillard too. Lillard also is explosive as ****...he just doesn't show it much with in-game dunks as much as Wall.

No one disagreed that Lillard was a good passer, Wall is just a great passer. Lillard is explosive, Wall is one of the best athletes in the entire league. Lillard I believe will eventually be a pretty good defender, Wall is already good and has the potential to be the best at his position. It's not so much that there is a huge gap between the two it's just wall does pretty much everything on the court better and has a lot more growing to do. I love Lillards game, went to the game last night solely to see him play. But i'm taking Wall. And the Wiz lost their second option for a couple weeks, went on a slide, he came back they win.

switch them out then, lillard to the wiz, wall to ripcity....

results? wall gonna spazz in portland? Dame gonna disappear in dc?

Why would the sixers want Asik when they have Noel? Unless there are draft picks involved, I just don't get it.

I hope that trade to Atlanta goes through. Seeing Milsap on the Rockets would be :smokin

id prefer the deal that gets us brandon bass and jeff gren over thad young or paul millsap. more players = more flexibility to make a second deal if need be.

It's hard to imagine Boston giving up that much for Asik unless there were other players/ draft picks involved.

Either scenario, Huston will improve as a team.

3 team deal has me feeling like boston might get evan turner out of it or someone who's on a last year deal as well to free cap space.

in morey i didn't use to trust, but now i completely trust

No matter with Asik article I read, from any site I go to, that's the pic they use for him

I'd much prefer Green/Bass as well, and for Greg Smith to consistently play up to his potential as he'd be the one backing up Dwight. I just don't know how the salaries would go to make the deal work.

I know you Rockets fans aren't dumb enough to REALLY think you're getting Jeff Green and Bass for Asik.

I already posted what the three team deal sounded like to me.

Rockets - Bass, Gerald Wallace, Celtics 1st rounder
Celtics - Asik, Evan Turner
Sixers - Jeff Green

Probably other pieces involved but that sounded like the main parts to me. Maybe the Sixers take on Wallace's deal instead to get another 1st rounder and maybe Hawes/Thad could be involved.

Again, the lengths some of you go to hype a player is just sad. Let all these guys cook. No need to downplay a great young player just to hype up another great young player. It's like splitting hairs when you talk about all these young point guards. Curry, wall, kyrie, Lilliard are all around the same level.
wall and lillard are not on the same level as kyrie and curry , they are easily BETTER . kyrie and curry are "overated" ( they are amazing players dont get me wrong ) because they do flashy things in the court more regurarly and cause of their top10 appearances

Exhibit A of what I was referring to. Just let em all cook and stop trying to split hairs and put a great player down to lift up another great player

Source: Blazers Identified As 'Wild Card' For Omer Asik
Dec 18, 2013 1:28 PM EST

The Portland Trail Blazers have been identified as the 'Wild Card' team in on a trade for Omer Asik, a league source told RealGM's Andrew Perna.

The Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers are also pursuing a trade with the Houston Rockets for Asik, according to a report on Tuesday by Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski added that there was an unidentified 'Wild Card' team.

The Blazers have had an excellent start to the season and the main thing holding them back from pulling the trigger on a deal for Asik are concerns about chemistry.

Blazers organization already been quoted as saying they are extremely happy with robin lopez and aren't interested in Asik at all

I believe it. It would be silly for them to make a trade now, considering how well they've been playing and how good the chemistry seems to be with the current roster. And really, the way he's been playing, Asik would only be a marginal upgrade over Lopez anyway.
