 never seen someone come up so short not even the late great kwame brown lol
the bench reaction

Rubio is literally one of the worst shooting backcourt players in the history of the NBA

I like his vision and defense but that's just crazy, if he can't overcome that then this is his ceiling
hhis ceiling is being the top point guard in the league. which he is

The fact that Love is nowhere near the athlete most NBA players are makes it even more amazing/entertaining. Has all the fundamentals and all the IQ you could ask for

in before someone says hes putting up empty stats :rolleyes

hes been doing this stuff his entire nba career, put hit on a legit team and he will put up the same numbers and actually win. Not his fault Minny has been run by idiots.
Dude is gonna bounce asap.. no way he will waste his prime years with that franchise like KG did.

I hate to say it but we all know he's gonna end up on the Lakers..

Not only can he not shoot he's not much better at finishing at the rack. I've watched RR pass up some open reverse layups like he wasn't confident enough to make it.

Because he doesn't show that he is? He doesn't play above the rim, he doesn't dunk over people, doesn't run fast, isn't laterally quick, am I missing anything else

Relative to the average NBA athlete, he isn't really that athletic.
You don't need athleticism to be a good player. Athleticism is overrated.

Agreed with athleticism being overrated. Was it Charles that said it the other day? That in this generation we look for guys that can jump high and run fast but that tends to not lead to NBA talent or something like that.

I do believe that in a way. Once athletic guys lose their speed and spring in their step their game gets exposed if they don't develop other skill sets. That's when they struggle when they can't outrun or outjump defenders anymore.

He doesn't jump the highest, but uses his body to grab boards. He's not the fastest but gets in great position in the paint or on the perimeter for his shots. Doesn't rely on his athleticism to out play defenders to produce offensively. I can see his style of play last him a long time to come in the league.

Why does everyone think Kevin love isn't athletic?
I'm saying. Being white definitely has people labeling love as an "unathletic" "fundamental" "heady" "crafty" bball player. (Bball code words) His combine numbers were pretty good actually, something like a 36inch vert. And this was when he was chubby

K love isn't a super athlete, but he has a quick second jump and is far from slow for a PF. I don't think its really fair to label him as unathletic. He's an average athlete.

hhis ceiling is being the top point guard in the league. which he is
Rubio one of my favourite players in the League but to say that is blasphemy,

I hope he gets to that level though, Think he may have to move from the TWolves for that

If Barnes would just not act like a complete douche every time he makes one of those fouls and tries to act hard staring down the dude afterwards then refs wouldn't be so quick to call things like that on him. I can't stand people that wanna try and act like that during basketball....just play the damn game.

Vince and Antwan are both HOFers

Tmac isnt

this kevin love guy is pretty good at basketball but im not sure he's better than melo not srs

rubio is not that good but ill enjoy his yearly highlight video

OK, I've heard the Vince argument, but I'd LOVE to hear why you think Jamison is a HOFer.

Also, that was some BS on Barnes. Hard foul, yes...flagrant 1, sure. Ejection? Get out of here. That's his rep preceding a refs objectivity. I'm no Barnes fan/apologist, but that was crap.

matt barnes got jerked hard. completely unfair to him. he's had a few questionable moments, but he's always been a hard player, especially on the defensive end

hate how players get the benefit or non-benefit of the doubt based on their reputation in the nba. totaly ref bias.

refs should not be out there making judgement calls. total bs
Bird Believes Granger Doesn't Work Hard Enough In Offseason
Danny Granger has fallen out of the plans of the Indiana Pacers while he's been out due to injury as the team has become a title contender without him.

Granger is earning $14 million in the expiring season of his contract.

"It's really important for me to remain a Pacer," Granger said Saturday. "I feel like I've been a big part of the building, gone through a lot of the bad years and now the good. I'd love to stay, but I understand the business of basketball and I understand that I might be a trade commodity."

"I've talked to Danny, talked to his agent; I'm not looking to trade him," team President Larry Bird said Saturday. "But you never know. If the right thing came along that would help the franchise, I would have to look at it, but I'm not out there looking at deals."

Bird questions whether Granger's work ethic will allow him to become his former self.

"He doesn't work hard enough (in the offseason)," Bird said. "He's not a guy who'll push himself to the brink like a lot of our guys do. He works hard but he doesn't push himself. That's why he starts slow every year and he just works his way back. Now this year, he's been hurt, so it's a different deal."

Bird believes Granger can become the Pacers' x-factor late in the season and into the playoffs.

"You know how I feel about Danny," Bird said. "He brings so much more to our team than people realize. Watching the game Friday night, our team finally looked complete. Just his toughness, his ability to shoot the ball from the outside. What we're going to need is for him to defend. It all boils down to how he defends, and that'll determine how many minutes he gets."
Bird: Pacers Will Offer Stephenson 'Very Fair' Deal, Perfect Environment
Dec 14, 2013 10:35 PM EST

Stephenson_Lance_ind_120522.jpg
Larry Bird discussed the future of Lance Stephenson and the Indiana Pacers' lead front office executive made it clear that the organization offers the best situation for the guard and still fully plans to re-sign him as a free agent in the offseason.

"If Lance isn't here, we'll plug somebody else in," Bird said. "Obviously I think this is the best situation for Lance. I worry about if Lance leaves here. This environment is absolutely perfect for him. Players know his little games. Lance is always energetic. He's always at another level. He likes to mess around in practice. Guys understand that here. It's not a bad thing, he's just energetic.

"He wants to go 100 miles an hour every time. Lance falls on the court and acts like he's been shot. Guys will walk by and tell him to get up. So this is the best environment for Lance.

"I don't know what's going to happen this summer. We want to keep him and he wants to be here. This is the best environment for him. We will make him a great offer, an offer that I think is very fair. If you look at our books, how does anyone know what's going to happen in the summer. How do they know we're not going to make trades or have more money or less money. We will try to sign Lance, but I don't worry about it. If Lance is not here, we'll get somebody else."

Did you read any of the posts preceding? I never said it takes athleticism to be a good player and I called love the best power forward in the game

That doesn't mean he's athletic relative to the average nba athlete. Someone asked "why do people say love isn't athletic?" And I gave him an answer, that by no means says he isn't a good player
