You haven't seen fat til you see Gasol come back from this injury in a few weeks. I bet he put on an extra 15-20 pounds.
He can't look fatter than he did in high school ... or at least I hope not. He used to look the chubby kid on your team whose parents made him play sports.

hell yea

I think it would be hilarious for LeBron to just sign one year deals with random teams for the rest of his career and just try and get franchises rings.
He'd fail at that though. Bron aint some guy that instantly makes any team championship contenders. Probably only like 7 teams that are already playoff teams he'd help win.
Klay coming through.

Cleanest block of the year, and CP3 still cried all the way to the locker room...and of course he tries to snatch the ball from Bogut .

So salty.
Is that not a clear blocking foul though?!? That's what I think CP3 was complaining about (unlike Doc).

Doing a true lottery with all 32 teams would be amazing.

Of course people would suspect it was fake though.  There would have to be some type of control from an impartial umpire.
Frozen envelopes.

I read someone post a few pages ago about how the people who call out CP3 for whining is just as bad as he is.

Ya ok, we go into the professional work place and do our thing, but if things don't go our way; we go full CP3.

I mean, just yelling in the faces of patients for not cooperating or speaking english, flopping if a tech bumps into me, grabbing of charts from the doctors, etc

CP3 was already midway through his lay-up, most refs wouldn't call that in that siutation.

I thought about this before too. 1 yr/40 mil deals and just see what happens

I'll never understand the people who think D'Antoni is a bad coach.
Yeah running players into the ground and not calling time outs. What's not to like
Playing his starters too many minutes is a valid criticism but all things considered he's still a good coach. He had your franchise playing good ball until ownership/front office screwed everything up. I don't really get your bitterness towards him.

That doesn't make sense. He's midway through his lay-up, okay. What does that have to do with the dude sliding under him trying to get a charge and is probably in the restricted area while doing it? That's a blocking foul.

Since when is the rule on blocking fouls is that you don't call them if the player shooting is midway through their layup/dunk?

If you mean good ball as in jack up 3s and play no defense (before there were any trades, hell even before they signed STAT) then yeah no reason to be bitter.

The team was playing .500 ball (and were very young) when Dolan decided to trade the entire roster away.

...That's better than they are now.

i think Jameer can be replaced with Jared Sullinger. And is this list in any type of order? If not Melo and Felton need to be 1a and 1b. Only two players who GAIN weight during the season. Amazing.

Yeah except the Knicks won 54 games last year "jacking up threes" and using many of D'Antoni's principles on offense. They led the league in attempted threes. The idea that you can't win shooting a lot of threes is an outdated one.

Defensively the Knicks were actually very good in '11-12 (5th best in the league) because they added Tyson Chandler. It largely depends on personnel, it's no coincidence the Knicks were horrid defensively pre-Tyson and again after Tyson was banged up and missing games. You can only do so much with poor defensive players.

I'd rather a good team playing above .500 ball that can get past the 1st round like last years team than that team or this current team.

Besides I look at who we traded and ask where are they now? :nerd:

To me I look at this team and we'll probably lose in the 1st round the same way that young .500 team lost in the 1st round. Cuz before STAT that same team wasn't even making it to the playoffs (by design).

Not disagreeing with you in the big picture, but winning 54 regular season games in the east really isn't anything to be that proud of.

Not just this, many elements of his style (including emphasis on 3 point shooting) have been recognized as the most statistically efficient way to run an offense.  As I said before, they've become core parts of how Popovich remade the Spurs.  The Rockets have tried to eliminate mid-range 2s from their arsenal in favor of 3s.

And again, you can criticize his defense, but this is a guy who kept a contending team middle of the pack in defensive efficiency while starting Nash and Amare, two of the worst defensive players of their generation.  He may actually deserve praise for that.

This year Woodson has reverted to his own iso-based offense, which has been awful.

Understood, but point is they had the 3rd best offense in the league last year while launching threes at the highest rate in the league.
