We went over this before, Phil is great but I believe he's never coached without a first All-NBA selection and most of the time, he coached 2 or 3 All NBA players at a time

Who do you consider, as a coach, that is good? And out of those coaches, who hasn't coached All NBA talent?

PJ is the greatest coach in NBA history. He's phenomenal. He's the only coach to me who actually has an offense and a system. It's rare that you see him resort to typical pick and roll basketball that virtually every other coach for the past 20 years has resorted to. He almost always strips down his teams because he knows the value of having a mastermind. (The teams that he inherited in LA both times were more talented than the teams he won with) He then always has his players in the best possible positions for them to succeed, there by allowing them to maximize their talents. (I.E. you'll never see sasha vucaic playing pick and roll or having to make a play) His teams almost never get knocked off balance not only because of his demeanor, but because every single thing that the defense can do goes right into some sort of action from the triangle.

I absolutely love phil. GOAT.

Mike was Mike before Phil.

Shaq was Shaq before Phil.

Kobe was Kobe before and after Phil.

phil's had good teams but he's also always gotten the most out of his teams every year in the playoffs, other than the two rebuilding years when it was pretty much just kobe carrying the team in 06-07 every phil jackson team has either won the championship or lost to the team that made the finals and/or won the championship.

thats 20 years of basketball, phil jackson's contenders have never lost to a team that has failed to make the finals

the spurs on the otherhand have lost to lower seeds in the first round twice in the past 5 years. they had a free title last year but pop didnt put duncan in to get that rebound and pretty much threw the game and series.

phil is 18 wins 8 losses and 4-1 in series vs pop

Again Phil coached a first team All-NBA player every year of his 20 year NBA career

Do you realize that means coaching one of the top 5 players in the NBA.....EVERY YEAR

4 years, he coached 2 first team All-NBA players

That's a huge advantage over every other NBA coach all time
does tim duncan not exist anymore?

Is Tim Duncan Michael Jordan , Kobe or Shaq?

Serious question

I'll just wait for CP to show up.

I got to see my team win four championships, I cant ask for more as a fan. I got to see Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, and Tony Parker play basketball and will tell my kids about that. Gregg Poppovich is a top 5 coach ever in my book and hes a Spur until death.

I love the hell out of my basketball team, anyone who dons that jersey is basically a family member.

I'm not needed.

People have caught on to what I've said over the years. People arguing for the Spurs as the 2nd best team the last 15 years have every right to claim so.

If they try to claim #1, then I'd step in. So far, no one outta pocket.

Shaq was Shaq before Phil.

Kobe was Kobe before and after Phil.[/quote]He doesn't create great players; he maximizes great teams (and great teams obviously have great players).

If Heat get a 3-peat(4 finals in a row), would they possible take the spot of the greatest team since Jordan bulls?

No.

If they do somethin stupid like 16-2 I might reconsider, but they were mere millimeters from losing 2 of 3 Finals with their super group. They held on, and deserve credit, but unless they truly destroy some competition this year, I wouldn't 90's Bulls them just yet.
