Yep, Bank of Cuban was open.

Instead they have Monta Ellis who's basically JR's cheaper cousin from the south

lmao bruh

Harden wasn't consensus #3. Everybody thought that was a reach and were calling him a bust (including Bill Simmons) until a yr and a half in after the Green trade when he started to show talent. People thought they should have gone Tyreke Evans(who won R.O.Y) or Stephen Curry, until it became clear Harden just needed the opportunity and both of the 2 previous had flaws in their own game and in potentially meshing with Westbrook and Durant

I'm not sure if you follow cbb, actually I'm fairly certain you don't with this response. Harden was a top 5 player in that draft, he was a 1st team all american and Pac10 player of the year as a soph. He was one of the only players people felt comfortable knowing he would be able to play well at this level. Reke people wondered whether he was a 1 or a 2 and if he could play off the ball. Steph people wondered whether he could play the 1, could he get his shot off, and was he strong enough to play at this level. He was dominant ASU, definitely not a reach AT ALL.

Just had a disappointing and terrible performance in the tourney vs Temple and Syracuse which put a bad taste in people's mouths.

serious question, and I hope it doesnt turn into ridiculousness....but Jerry West or Kobe Bryant?

It just blows my mind that Jerry West averaged 27 ppg on 47% shooting for his career without a 3 point line.

does anybody else love watchin hardwood classic games?

Not fair to compare players when the generation gap is as big as Kobe and Jerry West IMO. However, 27 ppg without a 3 point line is incredible. Damn :wow: :wow: :wow:

But Kobe's for sure the better player, and it isn't that close. West couldn't go left that well, and didn't have the athleticism nor the post game that Kobe has. At the same though, that's why I don't like to compare across multiple generations because who knows how West would have turned out if he came into the league in 96? But as it stands, Kobe is clearly the better player out of the two.

Game was played at a MUCH faster pace in West's day. Give Kobe's team 20-30 more possessions per night and see what happens lol.

fair enough, that was a good explanation too.

but yeah 27 points as a guard with no 3 point shot is insane

Datz he easily was considered the 3rd best pick in 09

He wasn't considered a superstar on the next level, but he was the 3rd best player in that draft by most accounts. What he's doing in the L he did in the pac 10. He was always a high percentage, high free throw guy with a high usage rate and a great playmaker. Most thought that would translate to a lesser degree at the next level. The questions surrounded his athleticism and whether or not he would be able to translate that on the next level.

He actually could have went to the L as a freshman, in that loaded pac 10 but wouldn't have went lotto amongst OJ, K love, Russ Wess, Lopez Twins, etc.

But yeah, he was definitely considered a top 3 prospect in 09 after coming back. He was borderline lotto as a freshman and had a better sophomore year, and they won at ASU that year.

And let me get this straight....The Knicks couldn't sign my bro PEJR a few years ago but have no problems signing Chris ******g Smith?

******g joke

Solomon Jones made the Orlando Magic's opening day roster.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
The #Magic have waived Mickell Gladness, Manny Harris, Kris Joseph and Romero Osby.

Gobert looking like a real life carnival mirror :smh:

Length is crazy and he's fluid, very interested to see what becomes of him. Jazz stay with some good young bigs
