portland advancing in the playoffs will depend on the matchup, they will win vs offensive teams and lose vs defensive teams

if they play the clippers and its a shootout then it will be hard to beat portland but if they play a team that makes them work for their tough jumpers like miami did and OKC did last night then i dont see them winning

not sure if the rockets are still awful at 3pt defense but if so i see portland beating them too

You legit take them as a title contender?

Going 4 series in a row beating a top team 4 times in 7 tries?

I wouldnt be suprised if they make it to the wcf if they dont run into okc or san an

Until that second pack of West teams get consistent and start separating themselves, it's OKC and the Spurs til further notice. Portland currently is doing the best job of that.

Personally, I don't think Portland is a contender. But they are for sure on their way to securing HC in the playoffs

thing with portland is when they are playing well they are hitting tough jumpers, when they are not paying well they are bricking tough jumpers

its more "that was great D but better offense" than "they make the defensive team look lost out there"

Cousins didn't even matchup with Dwight... he pretty much got in Harden's head with tough fouls all game and dominated him in the fourth whenever they crossed paths

 

Isiah Thomas' three point play in the fourth was incredible

yea portland can beat okc or the spurs in a regular season game but idk i cant see portland winning a 7 game series

Reasons why i believe Portland is for real....

1. There really arent any "defensive" teams in the West
2. Having CJ back only boosters their bench
3. Great perimeter defenders, great clutch players, low post threat.
4. No black holes


Reason why i dont believe Portland for real.....

hes averaging the lowest ppg since his rookie year, he averaged under 16 points in the playoffs last year

ever since lebron has come to miami hes been on vacation
