Cook as in get as many touches as possible and also playing time. Not saying Gay is being a cancer to the Kings but I am saying they definitely don't need Gay at all. Gay does not make the Kings that much better, as I was saying.
Who would start at the 3? Outlaw? Williams? Acy? Gay is the best player of the bunch. Do the Kings need more wing scorers? Probably not, but I do think he will help down the stretch this season. I'm not saying they are gonna make the playoffs but they will definitely be better than they were last season.

So with KG being washed and PP34 not too far behind, can we all agree that rondo was the best player on those teams for the past 3 seasons

That wasn't obvious?

He just didn't have the resume but it was obvious he was the driving force

His performance against the Heat in the playoffs will not soon be forgotten, Chalmers learned what a real top 10 pg is that night.

John Wall tried to punk VC. Similar to the Kobe and Matt Barnes mini-incident.

"Act like you've been here before young fella..."

VC like "you acting like I care about basketball, I'm just here for a check, calm your young *** down"

Literally nobody else on the Kings were cooking outside of Cousins and Thomas. We kinda need a player like Gay to cook.

Your opinion is definitely the popular one when it comes to Gay/Kings.

But, for me, I like Gay on the squad since he is one more player who can deservedly get those touches and a minutes and be productive (efficiently or otherwise).

I'm not sure how much of the Kings you watched before Gay, but it has been waaaaay better than having the Kings play that struggle 2 man ball with DMC+IT for 48 minutes a game.

I wanna see Mario chalmers top 10 pg list srs. I can't see why he would even think he is top 10

I agree but I ultimately believe Wiggins will be the better player, ceiling is higher.

As great as Bari is, there is only so much he can get better at meanwhile Wiggins is good but can improve in so many areas and is a world class athlete.
They are both 18 y/o with tremendous upside. You're probably right though, Wiggins hasn't fully grown into his body yet and Parker seems like a man child. Not quite Lebron status but pretty close IMO.

and its not like the kings are able to currently get a better option than gay

unless....

KING james

"My knobs are forks

Williams? Of course Gay is the best of the bunch. You don't have to be much of a player to start at the 3 for the Kings. I'm just saying they really aren't that much better with Gay than without him. They are without a doubt better with Gay, just how much better is what I'm focusing on. My belief is that they really didn't need his services. Like I said though, he'll be a nice expiring contract.

But what is waaaay better? 10 more wins? 15? As a Kings fan, if you like what he brings to the squad then I can't say anything bad about that. Take some of the pressure off the rookie and also gives the Kings a trade asset next year. My main point in all of this is that I'm just not sure how much better he makes the team, and for me personally, I would rather give the rookie all those shots and all those growing pains. Just how I see it though.

Anybody think Terrence Ross could have it all one day? Really like his body/athleticism, nice stroke on the J, could be a very good 2 way player soon

One thing that has gotten better, is the watchibility of the Kings and made them seem like a somewhat competent team who can hang around with anybody.

McLemore has been getting all the shots/minutes he can handle and he is definitely getting played to go thru the growing pains. Malone literally said that almost verbatim just yesterday after the game

So the addition of Gay, IMO, doesn't hinder Mclemore's growth or development. If anything it just helps put Mclemore in better position to succeed by taking a huge part of the load that the rookie clearly isn't ready for.

I don't really care too much about the wins right now tbh

and I don't want to sound like a complacent fan, but right now I just want to see this team improve and progress regardless of what the W/L columns shows
