lakers need to keep signing random pgs and having them cook under dantoni, then trade them for draft picks, then trade those draft picks for role players, then the role players for star players, then star players for lebron. kind of like dwight did in that one episode of that show @rck3sactown  shouldnt be making jokes about
If we are gonna correlate (redacted) to the Lakers trading for a star......... it would end with them getting Lebron, but then trading Lebron away for magic beans......

very similar to how the Lakers got Dwight Howard I guess and then "let him go"

I wanna see what blake can do now as a #1 option since hes supposedly a top 3 pf even tho doc will probably make jamal the go to guy

Lol doc would reign Melo in. No way he'd allow him to go continuous iso. He's a 'team' coach. Him and CP3 would get Melo balling the right way

I look at it like this, if you switched Griffin out with Love, I'm pretty sure Griffin would keep the Wolves around the same record they are now, around .500. I'm pretty sure Griffin would average the same numbers and perhaps even better since he would get more scoring opportunities. I just wonder how much better the Clippers would be with Love. I'd rather have Love no doubt though.

Nah blake dont got the skill set to be a legit #1 option like love, dirk, aldridge, not yet atleast,

Clips with Melo gets them a lot further than wherever Blake will take them.

Blake is a hell of a player, but Cp3 + Melo is a whole different story

a long with all the shooters and Jordan they got

Clips with Melo>>>>with Blake

Smartest thing Knicks would have done in a long time. Clips would be actual contenders with Melo, he'd finally excel as the No 2 guy.

I had a hard time believing that Marshall couldn't keep a job. Teams just dumping him left and right. He can run an offense.

Annoying loss for the Jazz, even though they shouldn't be overly concerned about winning.

So much truth in that line right there, so many people will overlook that.... Being team mates maybe him and Chris Paul will get in shape for once and lose weight...

How does being the go to scorer = #2 option, hes just gonna have a pg that can get him easier shots, no way can cp3 run a offense & be a reliable #1 option, thats why the clippers are always a joke in the playoffs

He won't be the guy dictating where the ball goes anymore and the ball won't be stuck in his hands all the time. CP3 may be a whiny flopper, but he's definitely an alpha dog that can stand up to Melo.

Really a wonder that Gerald Wallace hasn't killed himself on the court yet.

Pretty random accident tonight, but it seems like him and Josh Howard are always involved in the head/neck plays like that.

Did CP3 actually injure himself trying to flop out there? Was that why he was so mad?

Assuming that they're overweight, why would two out of shape guys suddenly decide to team up and lose weight together? When before they were surrounded by in shape guys :rolleyes

FTR, it's pretty obvious CP3 and Melo don't need to lose weight. They just got the body types where they aint forming defined abs and biceps. They'll all have that coat of fat on their bodies regardless unless they lose an unhealthy amount of weight.

That Ryan Anderson/ Gerald Wallace incident was spooky |I

No thanks to Melo. We already lack bigs; now you guys want us to trade our best for SF (he would be food at PF)?

Wonder if the Clippers will try to pick up a PG now that CP3 is down. I can't imagine running with Maalik Wayns as the back-up pg :x

this dude really have an avy of cousins?

 it was only for the Holiday season. Back to Ralph Da God.

@bill_oram Marshall: "I know that the Jazz let go of a guard earlier this year and I didn’t get a call, so I kind of felt a certain way about that."
I like that. It was between Diante Garrett and him, and they signed Garrett.
Teams discuss major deal internally
With the looming possibility of Carmelo Anthony  departing New York as a free agent this summer, New York Knicks  officials have discussed proposing a trade to the Los Angeles Clippersfor Blake Griffin, according to league sources.

Griffin

i

Anthony

Sources say Clippers management has also had internal discussions about such a deal but that the clubs have not yet spoken to one another about a potential trade.

As of now, neither team is certain that it would make an Anthony-for-Griffin trade, the sources said.

The Clippers appear to be the more apprehensive of the two teams because Griffin is having a terrific season, especially of late. The 24-year-old power forward has averaged 26 points and nearly 11 rebounds in his last 10 games.

One source close to the situation said the Clippers' latest internal discussion ended in favor of keeping Griffin.

New York's top priority, meanwhile, appears to be re-signing Anthony to a long-term deal this offseason. But with the Knicks struggling badly and Anthony refusing to give assurances that he will return, the Knicks understand they must at least consider other options.

The Clippers are on the Knicks' radar because it is an open secret throughout the league that Anthony and Clippers star point guard Chris Paul  have wanted to play together since 2010. That sentiment among the two players has not changed, according to sources.

Paul, who signed a five-year, $107 million deal with the Clippers this offseason, separated his shoulder Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks  and is expected to miss three to five weeks.

If the Knicks decide to explore a trade for Anthony, he will have plenty of say as to where he goes because of his impending free agency. No club will offer anything of value for him without knowing he will re-sign with it this summer.
