Which is stupid to me^
Cp3 is a perfect number one if he has a reliable scorer, melo fits the bill.

The trade makes perfect sense to me.

The trade makes perfect sense to me.
Carmelos about to be 30 though, Blake Griffin is 24. Gotta think long term with this, especially when even with Melo I dont think the Clips get good enough to where they can beat out the likes of San Antonio or OKC conistently

Chris Paul's 28, I mean i guess. It's not like melo is overly athletic. He's a bully player who uses his body to create space.

I'd make that trade though personally

I guess well see how many finals appearances they make in the next 3-5 years

Melo makes them worse on D and on the boards tho

San Antonio would kill them, Thunder too which i guess is the case until proven otherwise any way but I'd still keep Blake especially if I'm sterling he's 24 and puts butts in seats.

And Basketball wise Blake still has alot of upside Melo is what he is.

On a side note I got moved to head quarters for my bank, and everything will be blocked to my understanding :x

Ima miss lurking and only working half the day

:smh: dudes are now underrating melos rebounding ability, blake already reached his ceiling so age is irrelevant

Even if that was the case, hes going to maintain that ceiling for a while, whereas Carmelo might be on the downslope in the next two years.

Why would the Clippers trade BG for Melo? lol
It's obvious that BG meshes better with the team than Melo does

How are you gonna say bg meshes better, cp3 can make anybody look good obviously, thats why hes the best pg also cp3 & melo are only a year apart so why cant it work, melo never had a srs injury and his game isnt based off athleticism, talking about melo has a 2 yr window :smh:

imo clippers have a better chance of winning a championship by getting melo

but they will be better off in the longrun, not championship but just steady 4-5th seed seasons, putting fans in seats, ect. by keeping blake

Seriously I was wondering does anyone think Anthony Bennett will pan out to be a decent player in the next 2-3 years?
Or is he gonna be Kwame Brown status for the rest of his career?
I know he's young but watching him play...........:smh: he doesnt deserve a place on some team from Iceland

Exactly. Even if you assume that Melo makes them better than Blake (which I don't believe), they're still not better than the other top West teams. So, what would be the point?

I'll take my chances with our 25 year old star, who's still improving (yes, Black Migo, he is) and already locked into a long term deal over the 30 year old, who's going to be declining and who we'd have to re-sign at the end of the season, probably for more than we're paying Blake.

But if there's a way to get Melo without giving up Blake, then I'll listen.

I'm all for the new CBA if it makes the NBA more competitive
but the teams that suck are the big market teams who are alreadyy favored by the current system. The NBA will probably see it as a success if tsmall market teams continue to thrive.
the successful teams have always been the ones that are well run, NY and BK have the highest payrolls in the league and look where they are, the spurs and suns had great teams over the last 10 years and they are both small markets, okc too.

the CBA didnt make things more competitive, changing the salary cap doesnt help much the only way to get trash teams competitive is to give them new management/ownership. bunch of crybabys that are bad at their jobs blaming other's successes on big/small markets when really its their own incompetence that created their bottom feeder team.

the nba fanbase will grow faster when the good teams are in the big markets and they make attending games a must see attraction. in the 90s if you visited chicago you HAD to see the bulls play, people who were not NBA fans that were visiting chicago went to see bulls games, liked what they saw and became fans. Same thing happens at lakers games, people go because its LA and its the Lakers, they enjoy the experience and leave lakers/nba fans. im sure it was the same with the knicks in the 90s and even the clippers now. all this adds to the NBA fanbase and makes the game more popular on a global level. this wont happen to the bucks or bobcats because no one visiting america is going to go to a small town like milwaukee.

I live in North Jersey and work in NYC, but I still enjoy the smaller market teams more. Always find myself rooting for Portland, Utah, Milwaukee.

there's way too many teams in the league. nba should consider contraction

milwaukee? charlotte? sac?

Charlotte, okay. Chill with including the Bucks. I need that Greek Freak, Henson, Sanders fix.

That team is two impact guards away from contending in the East. Knight off the bench as a sixth man. Juice instant offense like JR.

problem is they already have more than 50% of teams making the playoffs. so they can't really contract at this point.

i would like to see them think outside the box like bill simmons says and do some other format for playoff seeding and spots...when the west has 50 win teams missing it and east has a team with 38 wins

Contract em ^ nobody outside Milwaukee cares.

Seattle needs a team man. Damn shame they don't have one.
