Cousins just had 19pts and 10reb in the 3rd quarter alone against the probably defensive player of the year Hibbert.

No one said it wouldn't help. The argument is that it wouldn't help in ways comparable to baseball. Like I said earlier, it's not taking Toney Douglas to the top the way it did Melky Cabrera.
I don't get what that means. If you play basketball then yea peds aren't gonna help your bat speed.

Peds/supplements aren't specific to a certain skill. It enhances everything you do as far as training and thus everything you do on the court. Being able to lift even just an extra 20 pounds is the difference between finishing or not finishing thru contact, having a faster first step, higher vertical...I mean everything bro
Man what? Comparable, as in on the same level.

Basketball is a game of finesse. Being able to lift an additional 20 lbs is not the difference between finishing through contact and not finishing. Sure it helps, but its not the difference. There are strong guys who can't finish and little guys who are experts at finishing. Derrick Roses ability to contort his body and still finish at the rim through the contact doesn't come from lifting more man lol. That's all concentration and skill. As opposed to a guy hitting a baseball farther which can absolutely come from lifting more. Your first step and vertical also aren't going to change significantly from PEDs. Who do we know in the league that was able to jump higher from one year to the next? If you aren't already a leaper you aren't going to all of a sudden start jumping out the gym. You're not going from Zach Randolph to Vince Carter. And if you aren't quick you aren't all of a sudden going to develop a lightning quick first step. And EVEN if you did, that's STILL not going to put the ball in the hoop.

Adderall is probably the best argument. Increased focus is more likely to effect your on court ability than increased strength.

Down 25 but at least Cousins got his 31  :smh:

sidenote: How does a Center average 3.5 turnovers per game?:wow: He's the only PF/C in the top 18 (#9).

Still my favorite player in the L tho :pimp:

This is such a flawed argument. There is a greater emphasis on athleticism in the NBA thanks to the standards set by the 90s guys. From the NBA all the way down to pee wee basketball there was a change in the dynamic. That's why you see less skilled players and more athletes in the league. In the 70s the emphasis was on length and skill. All the players were lanky af. They shot jump hooks and dribbled with the ball away from their bodies. Now you have forwards with tight PG handles and your PG can dunk like a forward. It's a different era, not because of drugs but because the game has changed. Now that's not to say that there aren't some guys who may be on something. But you can't make a broad stroke generalization like that without considering all the factors for the changes.
I think Simmons is speaking from experience after the baseball debacle.  Every sportswriter writing off excuses like "changes in workouts and nutrition" when the reality was right there in front of their faces.  And he's absolutely right about this.  10 years from now all these guys will be saying "How could we have known?!"

LeBron, Dwight...  I would not be shocked for a minute.
Yeah but baseball ain't basketball fam lol. As has been discussed on here numerous times.

Cousins is the best C in the league

How in the hell did the Kings let the offensively challenged Pacers drop west coast numbers on them? Pitiful :smh:

i'm glad people with NBA TV are getting to see how little help DMC gets from the rest of his team.  Which is why his teams poor record should not be counted against him when talking about him as the best Center or making a case for him as an All-Star

doesnt matter

Kings have another game tomorrow

So you forfeit this one?

They were down what 12 end of the third with Cousins scorching. You had a shot at it.

Funny considering Cousins just said it was weird sitting out the fourth quarter against the Cavs cuz of that blowout as well.

Please tell me how good any other teams would do if their star had 31pts and the only other player that night in double figure scoring had 12pts on 6-14 shooting?

I'd say probably not good.

I think the Kings are ranked last in defensive numbers, that explains it.

Any team that excels in ball movement and above average shooting, can easily torch the Kings
