Dude said Lebron is a marginally better passer.

I'm done. So ******g stupid.

you dont watch KD, obviously. you might be in the boxscores or something. the KD as a facilitator sample size is small (last year during playoffs, this year when westbrook out), but during that sample size, he's been hitting passes all over the court and doing it very efficiently.

yesterday's SA was by far his worst game as far as turnovers, but he still killed them and won b/c they had to play honest.

I'm not even gonna take part in this argument but some of you guys were saying Paul George was better than KD as recently as a month ago. We're going from PG24 > Durant to Durant > LeBron in the span of about a month.

KD and Bron in the same convo is a lot more relevant than PG being better than KD. So while i see your point, its kinda irrelevant. PG in this convo is the only ludicrous thing. even if you want to say Bron is better, its definitely a close argument.

it's not one for PG

I don't think anyone is doubting KD can facilitate the team during plays, but its obvious that LBJ has a better ability of doing so since his court vision is more superior than KDs. Different skill sets for both players anyway.
its not glaring if you watch recent KD. He's making crazy passes all over the court. and putting guys into spots where they actual like to shoot.

got that pocket pass to serge down off the PnR. corner 3 down to srge. corner pass to fisher down. the pass right at the rim for perk. the corner 3 for lamb.

yall go get in the film room
literally every elite ball dominant wing player makes these kinds of plays, iverson did, tmac did, kobe did, lebron did, jordan did, bird did, magic did, penny did, vince did

this crazy facilitating that KD is doing this year isnt that crazy, in fact its expected of someone that gets as many touches as he does

The percentages are how we gauge exaclty how well someone shoots the ball. It literally tells you how many times the ball goes in the hoop compared to how many times you shoot. No one shoots friggin 58% while being a streaky shooter.

Also, no one has ever said LeBron was a better shooter than Durant. No one.

So Shaq is a good shooter?

and i know we didn't say Lebron was a better shooter, you'd get guillotined. What I'm saying is its not even close. two completely different worlds of shooting.

LeBron does that too.... with more consistency. There are so many times where when he passes, 3 point shooters like Chalmers and Allen are wide freaking open and there is no defender in sight. Dude is almost like Magic Johnson at times.
Anyway the point is that LeBron overall is still better than KD in managing the game, but not by much.

to whoever posted that shot chart (dont wanna quote all that plus pictures), taht's laughable as a post argument. those are layups. he passes out of the post when he actually does go into the post.
So you really think hes taking off for layups 4-8 feet for the basket that often? Come on man, at least admit that some of those(espeiclaly the further away ones) are post ups. Especilaly when you take into consideration all the red next to it that signifies the layups/dunks.

but this is exactly why i was saying that KD needed to put his head down and score as much as possible with westbrook out

a few 40 point games and people are ready to say hes better than lebron will ever be

when the best scorer in the world puts up big numbers everyone wins

its not even about his scoring. its the added facilitating while adding to scoring. im convinced most of yall are actual boxscore ****** and aren't watching games.

THis is all anybody ever does. Watch the 6 highlights of the entire game on sportscenter, read the boxscore (mainly to see how many points a player scored), then get on NT to talk about why player A is better than player B. This will go on until the end of time

**** NO. Iverson a playmaking passing facilitator? Vince Carter?

Yes Tmac, Kobe, Jordan, Magic, Penny were playmakers/facilitators

besides tmac and Penny (injury), we're listing all guys who are top 5 all time candidates....lol. thanks for proving my point kinda.

There's no stat (maybe on 82games.com there is) for how many possessions he's actually facilitating/dictating the offense. so you cant just say: give a guy a ball more and he's gonna be an elite/efficient facilitator

and the same ************* think Gordon Hayward is better than Paul George, but to the dude bringing up field goal percentage in an argument about "shooting," I think they are specifically referring to jump shooting so something like this would be more relevant than posting raw fg% numbers. The Thunder go into Miami next week. The schedule Gods have Miami playing the Spurs Sunday in Mia, then the Thunder Wednesday, then they're in New York Saturday. Nice break there

if KD had a team built around him being a facilitator, he'd facilitate well. yall sayign he's better, but I'm trying to say what he's done is at a very similar level and no fluke. its consistent b/c lebron plays point for them?????

the only reason this is an argument right now is because at the insane level durant is putting up points at.

And it's the same people having it every single time. Dudes have been prisoners of the moment for years. Thread is like a ******g cesspool.

To be clear, I was just saying that, up to this point, for this season, Durant has played the best of anyone. That's all.

lol, you mean to tell me your more athletic than everyone ever was god isn't taking off from 4-8 feet often in transition or driving to the rim? that ish cray

yes ill give you that he's going to the post some, but not nearly enough for how big/strong he is considering he doesnt shoot that well. He goes into the post less than KD

if it makes you feel any better, next month the schedule gods have you playing the lakers on TNT thursday night, then a week later playing miami on TNT, then 3 days later playing the clippers.

nice break there

vince put up 4.8 assists per game in his best scoring season, thats comparable with what KD is doing right now

KD will never average as many assists per game as iverson, it just wont happen

when you are an elite player and you get the ball every time down the court you will be able to find open teammates, this is nothing new

watch any elite player and you will see him finding open teammates for open shots because of the attention they demand from the defense

yall are copping out with these prisoner of the moment statements. im breaking down game out here. like specifics of their game that im watching with my own eyes. some sutff we may agree to disagree on, but chill with all of that fly by the seat of your pants jazz. this is a legitimate argument. google it and i guarantee you'll get an article with a breakdown. i just aint no journalist or getting paid to write a thesis

nah fam. like westbrook isnt even as good a facilitator as KD and probably averages more assists. there's a difference between facilitating and getting assists that i can see most of yall arent catching. which is funny considering yall defending Bron who is full facilitator.

Whats interesting is Durant is trying to outdo LeBron at his own game. I love that he's setting out to be the "do everything" guy while putting up points at a high FG%. And AT THE MOMENT he's succeeding. One month doesnt discredit LeBron though when he's been doing this for a decade.

Anyway the point is that LeBron overall is still better than KD in managing the game, but not by much.

This may be true, but this is LeBron James we're talking about. The best basketball player in the last 20 years, whos on national TV every other week and then every playoff game is on national TV. Hes probably been on TV over 60 times in the last two years. That alone is enough to assess his game

Same goes for KD.
