the thing with the nba is, there are too many gms (just like baseball) and really a handful of teams that have a legit shot of winning the chip

Indy pushed Miami to the brink last year and they're a better team this season.

It's going to take nothing short of Lebron in God Mode to beat them this time around.

Looking like the old AB, quick, elite shooter and rebounder.

You guys compare him to Derrick Williams but forget, D-Will made a huge leap in his second year, AB was dominant day one, more highly regarded coming out of high school, Derrick Williams was only an elite shooter for that one season Anthony Bennett has been an excellent 3 point shooter since he was 16, D-Will played in a ****** Pac-10, MWC had the most tournament teams...

I still believe.

Of course you do, Captain Save-A-Canadian

People don't realize how gassed the Heat will be trying for a 4th straight Finals.

There's a reason it hasn't happened since 87, and there's a reason that 87 was broken beyond repair and never seen again.

Indy stays healthy, they'll damn near have a full tank of gas, and have HC. Heat will be on fumes. Absolutely zero room for error.

If you think the NBA is full of filler and not worth watching, then.....just don't watch?

I've enjoyed this season for the most part.

Indy is better than they were last year, PG and Lance are much better, Lance is a candidate for most improved. Plus Miami isn't as good. Wade, Ray, Battier are all declining, Miller is gone, plus Indy will have home court this year. I agree, unless LeBron does some crazy **** I think Indy is winning that series this year.

Plus Granger and Scola are better than anything they had last year. And aren't even needed for 30+ minutes a night, just 15-20 is a big upgrade for Indy.

Sorry to ruin your night, but the ATL game has been postponed because of weather.

2 freaking feet of snow did that :smh:

KD is my dude and all but when did we start giving out the MVP award half way through the season? That rhetoric has gotten very tired very fast. A whole host of things can happen between now and the end of the season. Is he the favorite? Yes. Why cant people leave it at that? Seems like more than a few have already crowned him. Gonna be interesting to see how the pendulum swings if he doesn't have a big game against Miami tonight.

This just makes me realize how the title of MVP has been devalued a little. We got fans in the stands chanting MVP for any player that has a good night. We got MVP chants in the first week of play lmfao. Back in the day they called you MVP when you earned it and not a moment sooner.

I still think they barely squeak by Indy and lose viciously in the Finals. Then, the females in here will stroll out again and blame Bron for not giving it his all in his fourth Final in a row

I really hope a healthy Grizz get another shot at a healthy OKC team because I'm tired of hearing the excuse about last year, especially since the Grizz couldn't use the same excuse in 2011 when they had Sam Young starting instead of Rudy.

At this point, the only team I fear that we cannot beat without making another trade is San Antonio. I'm pretty confident that with our defense heading in the direction it was at last year, better 2 way players on the perimeter and an improved Conley, they can give OKC hell and beat them. But, let's wait til around March/early April and talk about that again.

Dudes trying to give KD the MVP now in hopes Lebron doesn't win one at the end

I think that has a lot to do with it too. That voter fatigue starting early this year. On some ol' "give someone else a chance!" I'd like to see KD win it, but I'm not gonna act like Bron doesn't exist lol.

And the Thunder STILL ain't seeing no parts of the finals without Russy. So all you dudes who starting up that line of thinking again shouldn't bother. It's not happening.

Times have sure changed for you. I remember earlier in the season you posted that this was the first year you felt like the Grizz weren't a real contender. The emergence of James Johnson and the acquisition of Courtney Lee was enough to change your mind?

This. The gap between the Pacers/Heat wasn't that big last year.

It's ESPN and their crap. No MVP's have been won in January. They have nothing to talk about so they come up with this crap.

Don't forget Conley is shooting better and putting up more numbers.

Melo calling a fan "glazed donut face" over twitter is one of the more underrated lines of the season though

Ugh

That's one thing I'm not looking forward to if/when the Heat lose this year.

The ACB's of the world gonna have the biggest circle jerk in S&T history.

DubA would probably be crying tears of joy for a week.

I agree that LeBron will have to be in Video Game James mode to get past this Pacers squad this year. Also Bosh can't have such erratic play like he has in the last two postseasons, because no telling what Wade is gonna give them come playoff time.

In my lifetime, people who say the NBA is having a down year and/or boring generally fall under the following two categories;

1. Their team is bunz and/or extremely average with no real bright future in sight i.e. Atlanta Hawks.

2. Their city doesn't have a team.
