The problem with this is that for multiple portions of the Decade people thought either A.I., VC, or T-Mac, or Lebron, were on par or better than Kobe. So that whole By far the best player over the span of decade isn't really a popular opinion, which is why i'm saying Kobe never had a definitive era.

TD was probably the best player spanning the decade, but...no one was really talking about TD :lol:

Kobe's best season is not as great as A.I.'s best season stop that. (Unless you count team success)

T Mac's best season is not as great as A.I.'s best season either.

Lebron? Well yeah :lol:

Wade's best season was not as great as A.I's best season either

but the thing is it was

iverson and kobe

then

vc and kobe

then 

tmac and kobe

then

wade and kobe

then

lebron and kobe

might not be in that order but you get the point, he wasnt the clear cut #1 like jordan was in the 90s but he was in the conversation for 10+ years, he was in the convo for best in the league after iverson fell off, after vc fell off, after tmac fell off and until he got hurt last year even wade was declining faster than he was. thats what makes kobe great, he preforms at the highest level while doing so for almost two decades, cant say that about anyone else on that list except maybe lebron in a few years
 
From 06-09 was kobe era. Had ****** hyped to see him play not knowing if dude was gon drop 50 on dudes head. Chris Paul was never the best player in the league. 09-10 is when lebron realized his jumper was mediocre and if he put his head down he can get to the rim every time

No one is questioning his Longevity though. The fact that you have to bring up other players even in Kobe's best years proves that he never had an era where he was definitively the best player in the league. He outlasted everyone though which is incredible.

How was 06-09 Kobe's era? In that timespan A.I., Chris Paul, Lebron, D Wade, all were just as good if not better :lol:

The NBA voters thought differently when they were constantly selecting Kobe,TMac and Wade to All-NBA teams and NBA MVP voting ahead of AI

what are we looking at? just personal accomplishments no team success?

iverson's best season he had a 25.9 per in 06

kobe had 3 seasons with higher PERs than that

tmac's 02-03 season is arguably one of the best of the decade (30 PER)

wade's 08-09 season is also one of the best of the decade (30 PER)

find me iverson's best season and tell me why its better than any of these seasons

there was no clearcut best player in the decade, other than shaq in the early 2000s

but kobe was always in the convo, cant say that about any one else (other than duncan)
