The 2 extra games the bobcats get is added revenue and good for team morale. Plus I think they are owed someone's draft picks. They might as well try to win games if you ask me.
They get the pistons pick if its 9 or lower and Portlands pick. Al's at 20 and 11 right now with the bobcats allowing the 4th least points for opponents per game. Sure if they play indy or miami they'll lose but anyone else in the east they might can beat in a series if they continue to play defense like they are now.

6ers have done a great job tanking this season, they really dont need to worry about getting talent from the draft because its going to happen. The most important part of this offseason for thm is to get veteran leadership and good coaching. Cant win on young dudes alone but if you can build an environment where these guys can develop into great players then you have a great team

Who are they tanking for though...Wiggins is certainly not the next Lebron, Embid is a project who may not come out....outside of Jabari I don't see any of these guys as Franchise changers.
you dont need the next lebron for tanking to be worth it. If they draft wiggins and he "only" gets to james harden levels thats still franchise changing talent. If wiggins turns out to be rudy gay thats still getting a free top 10 sf. As opposed to if they signed a bunch of decent players last off season and didnt choose to tank they would be another average east team that has no upside

Getting stomped out by the pacers is good for moral? Ask the bucks how good that felt last year with Mia

The bucks had 3 guys playing for a contract and two of them left in the off season. There were no signs towards the bucks building off of that 8th seed.

Best case scenario: the bobcats make the playoffs and push the pacers/heat to 6 or 7 games like ATL that one season. Hopefully they still have their lottery pick (from someone else) and Zeller gets better.

And the team is rebranding. Might as well try to win

The cavs should never be an example of why tanking wont work for other teams

Its like giving a 3 year old the quadratic formula and concluding that there is something wrong with the formula after the 3 year old cant seem to get the right answer

You deserve my rep for that amazingly specific comparison

Seriously. Switch Klay Thompson for Tristan Thompson and Andre Drummond for Waiters and pretty much anyone for Bennett and we might be having a completely different conversation about the Cavs.

that sounds like a very solid team that would be perfectly suited for welcoming lebron back

Dream World for Sixers fans:
Embiid or Bari/Ender

LaVine or Clarky

MCW - LaVine/Clarky - Bari/Ender - PF - Noel

MCW - LaVine/Clarky - SF - Noel - Embiid

kyrie
oladipo
klay/kawhi

drummond

that would be a fun/exciting team to watch. don't know how many games they'd win, but it'd be entertaining.

I wouldn't stay to rebuild in Cleveland again if I were deng. They aren't trending upward and he'll be 30 and the start of next season. He has better options

ESPN gets bamboozled again by LeBrons tactic with the slam dunk contest enough with the slurping already :smh:

Yeah, doesn't he pull some stunt like this every year? I remember him sending some tweet out last year that caused ESPN to start hyping up him being in the dunk contest.

Im waiting for someone to do this
