sorry, this isn't greatest "careers" its just who I think are the best.

the difference between Kobe and D-Wade is minimal, Wade had the greatest finals performance in the history of the NBA...

in their prime if you had either of them on your squad full of average joes, you can't really make an argument that you will win a significantly greater amount of games with either one.
QFE, people are really forgetting how athletically gifted and skilled D.Wade was in his prime

What was Joe D better at other than being famous?

In his prime, he was considered one of, if not the best, defenders at the 2 guard position. I believe MJ is on record saying that Joe D was the toughest individual defender he faced.

Manu's a solid defender, but not that good.

It can be argued thatthe differences between prime wade prime tmac and prime kobe are minimal. What sets kobe apart is he has been able to sustain his high production or "prime" for two to three times longer than the other two. Kobe was playing at a very high level before wade was drafted and he was playing at a higher level than wade was last year before he got hurt.

You cant just look at single year peak production when ranking players especially when one players prime has lasted longer than the other players career.

And thats just wade who I have great respect for as a player and see him as a clear cut #3 pg of all time

Tmac shouldnt be anywhere near those two guys. Yeah he had a few great seasons but he was constantly hurt and never lead his team past the second round. Hes a third tier sg at best and overall comparable to melo

scoring, assists, fg%, ft%. Not being hurt for half seasons, Not coming of the bench his entire career. Dumars has a finals MVP.

Yeah when you take into account, free throws attempted and the volume of three point shots Manu made (joe d took very untill the end of his career) Manu was a more efficient scorer, higher assist rate as well, and just a better and more creative passer and penetrator especially in the pick and roll.

plus being 6-6 he could gaurd more positions, and was an excellent rebounder for a guard.

Other thahn shooting mid range jumpers manu was just flat out better at everything.

I don't view things that way,

I always value peak production (over a players prime years) over longevity. I want to know what a player was at his best and I compare them that way,

If you like a longevity, thats you, think its irrelevant that's why its my list.

If tim duncan beats miami and wins a 5th ring my opinion of him stays the same, only interested in what they were at their best.

EDIT

Tmac is not comparable to melo.

Random, but Lebron not participating in dunk contests, then doing dunk contest-like dunks in practice close to the all star break makes him look like a sucka. I'm tired of this ****. As a fan, I think he needs to just participate

Or it makes fans look super emotional/whiny when he does the same thing every single damn year  I was surprised he wasn't busting this out in January.

He's an attention-craving fiend, fam.

Longer more consistent peak I will say this though if wade wasn't hurt the majority of the past 2 title seasons I would lean his way. Ftw I'm far from a noob

^ You don't find Wade to be overrated in historical all-time discussions?
I agree that historically the sg position is one of the weakest in basketball there jordan and kobe who are top 10 guys (jordan obvious no brainer, kobe is debatable) then a big drop off to dwade who I think is the clear #3. I would say dwade is top 25 all time but his relatively short prime really hurts his all time rankings as I value longevity as much as I value peek performance. I think its fair to say its disapointing that dwade for all the talent he has probably wont even crack the top 50 in all time scoring.

In terms of #1 all time I have kareem as 1A and jordan as 1B

I have no idea what would make Clye better than Wade, like not even the foggiest idea.

Wade had the greatest finals ever, EVER. was likley the best play in 06-07, clyde never was the best player, had one of the greatest seasons ever leading that sack of garbage in 08 to the playoffs and 43 wins.

have no idea how Clyde gets to be in the Kobe, Wade, t-MAC West class of player.

also T-mac was again better at EVERYTHING, he could literally do everything on a basketball court, comparing him to a one trick pony like Carmelo is one of the deepest insults I can imagine.

umm no he wasn't. sorry bud. manu is a hall of famer. but he's not better than Joe dumars, no matter how you wanna try and spin the numbers.
