If he would have kept his mouth shut all along and said he would never participate, I would be fine with it. But he vacillates saying he would consider it, knowing it's what the fans want, then doesn't even think about it the next year. In that respect, he's annoying. If you have no intention on doing it, then don't tease the fans. All star weekend is for the fans. It's not that big of a deal but he doesn't realize that his participation would cause excitement in the dunk contest. The contest is dead now and needs something.

is lamarcus aldridge not a good post player at all? the guy rather shoot fadeaways rather than putting his head down and bully guys. i know that's not his gm, but cant always settle for the jumpers. the only guy that could do that was dirk, but he matured and was able to have a post gm.

You guys do realize that the Sixers bench consists of basically Elliot Williams, James Anderson, Lavoy Allen, Brandon Davies, Lorenzo Brown and Hollis Thompson?

You do realize that MCW, Wroten and Turner is probably the worst shooting 1-3 lineup in the league?

You do realize Spencer Hawes and Thad Young are probably the worst defensive starting frontcourt in the league and they have virtually zero depth behind them?

I'm cool with joking about the tank and all, but more than half this squad literally is D-League/overseas talent. I don't know what more you expect of them. The front office had a tank in mind when putting together the roster for this year but the players are actually out there trying.

He's never really had to utilize it as much because the outside game is that good. But you're right, not really the better part of his game.

I think he can do it when he wants to. I'd guess the groin injury might just be taking a toll and the ASB will help him out.

BTW, if someone has the highlights of Al feasting back to basket last night on Dallas it would be appreciated.

It will be their undoing. The curse of every great jumpshooter is that they can fall in love with the jumpshot. Thats LMA in a nutshell. Dude didnt even try and work David Lee in the post, the supposed "worst post defender  in the league" Dude shot jumpers that whole game until the 4th when he wasnt going to crack ten points, then posted and got two foul calls.

No one should really want to see LeBron dunk anymore, I know I dont.

i see alot of rasheed wallace in him.. he does have an effective post game, but he doesnt use it nearly as much as he should

and sheed fell in love with shooting 3s, aldridge is in love with shooting long 2s

Yea I love LMA but when that jumper ain't falling he starts looking real average.

The difference between him and Love/Blake is that they will still put their heads down and get a bucket

Al Jefferson has proven this season that he's the best low post scorer in the game. And it's not that close.

Happy for Anthony Bennett. Maybe he stopped eating 6 meals and 10 mass gainer shakes a day without working out.

Another solid player emerging for the Grizz. Rookie Nick Calathes

Since the injury to Conley (6 games):

35.8mpg, 15.2ppg, 4.7apg, 4.7rpg, 2.3spg, 3.0tpg, 53% FG, 43% 3PT

This guy was boo'd by fans during the early part of January. After gaining some confidence in mid-January, he's playing like a really solid backup PG. The front office has definitely brought in some quality talent from Leuer, Lee, Johnson, Koufos and now Calathes, but injuries just keep hurting the team. Every time they go on a run, a key player gets hurt.

He actually does have a strong post game. You can see here that he has a variety of face up + back to the basket moves, can turn over either shoulder, etc

But those highlights are from last year. Dude has basically turned into a jumpshooter this year and I don't know why.

Someone earlier brought up Dirk, well the difference is that Dirk shoots threes, which is why he's able to keep his efficiency up. If Aldridge is gonna play on the perimeter all game, at least take a couple steps back and go for 3 points instead of 2. Heck even Ibaka is adding the 3-ball to his game

Yeah, he's been much better than I expected he would be. Seems solid. But he needs to shave his head. The way his hair looks just isn't right.

adam silver has to implement a new draft lottery system. the modified lottery wheel (lowe and simmons discussed) would be a great. most GMs in the league are idiots anyway, give them incentive to lose and you get so many garbage teams.

plus the so called blue chip superstar freshman class isn't all that. i dont follow college ball that closely but from all ive read/heard each of the top 5 projected picks are not guaranteed to be nba stars.

Silver also needs to change the playoff system.

Top 16 teams get in.

I don't know why he cut it, but decided to still leave some hair on his head. Its like he's scared to go completely bald.
