One thing I will always admire about Lebron's game is that he achieved this level of success with no father and an unstable upbringing. I think he's a little insecure deep down and the media senses it like the hounds they are, which is why so much hate is thrown his way; he has a vulnerable aspect to him. Imagine if he grew up under a healthy 2 parent household and a stable active father figure Son would have to walk around on a leash he'd be so much of a beast.

Your just wrong. Statistically speaking in every manner of life, including the NBA, those who grow up in two-stable, economically stable households do better.

OAKLAND, CALIF. – Dwyane Wade was a late scratch from the Miami Heat's starting lineup against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night because of nerve irritation in his left foot, leaving his status for the All-Star game in doubt.

Wade sat out Tuesday night's victory at Phoenix with a migraine headache and appeared to be in good spirits before Miami's 111-110 win over the Warriors, chatting with reporters for nearly 10 minutes in the locker room. He was listed at his usual shooting guard spot and announced during pregame introductions, but seconds before tipoff the Heat said he would not play.

Wade said he was traveling to New Orleans for Sunday's game but isn't sure if he'll play.

"I'm not optimistic. I'm not pessimistic. I just want to get better," said Wade, a 10-time All-Star who was elected as a starter for the Eastern Conference this season.

Wade said he started to warm-up when his foot began giving him problems and he went to the locker room. He said trainers officially diagnosed him with "foot drop," which is a weakness or paralysis of the muscles that lift the foot.

"I started feeling a little something in my foot, getting a little numbness," Wade said. "But you don't think nothing of it. As time went on it started going up my leg a little bit, so the nerve going up my leg kind of shut down. Weirdest thing I've ever (felt). When I was out there and moved around and warmed up, I felt I couldn't feel my foot. So I didn't want to do anything."

Toney Douglas, who was traded from the Warriors to the Heat earlier this season, made his second straight start for Miami. It was the final game before the All-Star break for both teams.

Wade has missed 15 games this season, with most of them part of the Heat's plan to rest his nagging knees. For most of the previous two days, though, leg problems were the least of his concerns.

Wade said he woke up Tuesday with a "pounding, pounding headache" after taking an afternoon nap in Phoenix and alerted trainers. He said he took medication and stayed back at the team hotel, listening to the game against the Suns in a dark room because the bright lights from the TV were bothering him.

The Heat beat the Suns 103-97.

Wade said he experienced another strong headache after the team's flight landed in the San Francisco Bay Area and took medicine that "knocked me out." He said he woke up Wednesday morning feeling normal.

The 32-year-old Wade has experienced migraines at times throughout his career. He's averaging 18.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 36 games this season.

"If you've never experienced it before, you really don't understand," Wade said. "There's just no rhyme or reason for it."

I know NT hates Wade but I actually feel for him on the migraines. I've never had one but my little brother started getting them at a young age, that **** sucks

This sounds like it could potentially be career-threatening for Wade, dude's body is disintegrating into powder

i called it like a week ago



i've just got nothing better to do with my time than look forward to our schedule and everyone else's schedule and try to predict what will happen. i just wanted that 3 seed by all star break, because i'm sure they'll be showing the standings every so often and i want everyone to go "oh damn...didn't realize the rockets were that high up."

i also want lakers fans to cry.

I don't like lebron at all but I will respect his game. I agree with everything your saying but the celebration part. It jus looks lame to me. When in the heat of the moment u do pound your chest, scream, flex, hands up etc. But his **** is so rehearsed like cmon man. U ever get so in to a game u do that? That was some **** he/they thought of at home like the handshakes n **** and couldn't wait to do it. He's not the only one tho

We have to give props to Mark Jackson as a coach. I remember when dude showed up there was much doubt early in the season. He's kept up with the best of them this year, and almost rocked the Heat a second time if it wasn't for a big time shot(which was guarded by a top perimeter defender).

What does it matter if its rehearsed or not? A lot of athletes know what celebration they're going to do long before they do it. Who cares!?!? I'll go as far as to say that most players think about how they'll celebrate before they do it. Because they're just like you and me, and I KNOW all of us mere fans think about what we'd do if we ever had a glorious athletic moment all the time lol. It's damn near natural. Sure there's some spontaneity but there's a lot more that isn't. Deion had his strut, Icky had his shuffle, Tiger has his fist pump, etc etc.

I had chronic migriains, for a mintue, havent had one for a long time, I thank god every day.
