get out of here with that

he was working with pat ewing since orlando, he turned himself from a 18 year old hig schooler to a top 3 player in the league, what you think it happened by accident?

of course dwight works hard.
Yeah, that statement did not make sense.  Like you said, Dwight went from a raw HS project to an MVP candidate.

dwight works hard, it's just him applying what he actually practices on into the real gm. for a short while, he was experimenting with that bank shot like tim duncan, but abandoned it. he basically is comfortable with a few moves. you watch him during warm ups at a gm and he fools around with the "dream shake" the outside shot, etc. but he doesnt do that in gms.

This whole dwight howard post up stuff is none sense, he was cooking in orlando, had to be double teamed, hurt his back lost the explosion and mobility then it degraded in LA and now that he's healthy in Houston, he's back to being effective.

You don't need a thousand moves to be an effective post up player, Dwight has enough moves.

A Lamarcus Aldridge pretty fade away is worth the same amount of points as dwights left hand hook.

The standard you guys apply here is ridiculous.

Some little guard who can do nothing but take bad shots and hasn't ever improved his game and you will be all talking about how great and entertaining he is.

But any big man who isn't literally Hakeem or Kareem and he's some major lazy disappointment.

he didnt start working with people til late in his career, Dwight wasnt the type to want to learn when he first came to the league

its the truth

not saying Drummond will be an offensive monster or have any game just because you want to learn and someone teaches it to you, you cant exactly pick it up right away or easily.
how the heck are you measuring this man?

Don't know if you're referring to me but I never implied that Dwight was lazy or a disappointment. At his best he was MVP caliber but I don't think he maximized his potential. He doesn't have to be just like Hakeem or Kareem, but if he used some of the stuff they taught him he would be worlds better.

Look at this training session he had with the Dream and show me one time where he used some of the moves they practiced. Again, not saying he's not a hard worker, just saying he's not as good as he could be because he's not comfortable changing up his game.

He's 6'9-6'10 center, he was a top 3 player in the league, he should have been the MVP in the Derrick Rose year.

How much more could he have gotten out of his potential?

he shot 60% from the field man

he's a 6'10 dude with big shoulders, left hand right hand, counter, face up, how many of those moves does he actually need?

Dwight has already had a better career than so many NT holds up and defends...  Rose, Carmelo, etc.  Even with his back problems.  That includes carrying a team to the finals.

And yes, he deserved MVP in Rose's year.
