Was there ever hope for it? The NBA keeping it around is like two people in a relationship that BOTH know things aren't working out. Staying together "for the kids."

I really love the way the NBA is presented/marketed by TNT. So unpretentious and fun compared to baseball and football. You get tired of people saying. "The national football league" for no damn reason.

Walls dunk was not only impressive but it was difficult.
His height + jumping over someone + pumping it over their head (no ayo) is pretty damn difficult.
Plus the dude did it first try. A difficult dunk we haven't seen over and over again, practiced, well thought out, and executed first try in a contest where the best are supposed to showcase their skills, deserves to be awarded.
George is my dude, and his dunk was nasty. But he had no showmanship, no flare, and most of all he didn't execute it first try.
He deserved 2nd place.

What killed it for me was I sat here for 4hours and 30min to watch the worst all-star weekend I've ever seen.
8min commercials ever 3min, a bad shooting 3pt contest, a fraud of a dunk contest, this was terrible (Chuck voice).

The new format in the dunk contest was absolute trash. Just when I thought the dunk contest couldnt get much worse these days, they bring in this format, wow terrible. Now theres not one dunk champion, its a team? who thought of that wow.

Honestly, there's too much going on in the weekend. It should be Celeb/Rookie games friday, 3pt/Dunk Sat., and the game Sunday.
All that extra is unnecessary.
And there should be real pre-requisites for the dunk contest. Real dunkers who want to prove their skills. Not just some guy who is long and has had 1 or 2 decent dunks this season.

i know but thought it was weird because every year, they are right on the sidelines no matter what
