On the 'good locker room guy' thing, I mean, I'm not saying this kind of thing makes or breaks a team, or that this takes a team from scrub status to championship, but...

... I can definitely see the benefit of having a guy who has some sort of veteran leadership, even some non-sports related life wisdom, you know?

Also, not saying I'd go out of my way to pick up a guy like that, but if I had a team and the opportunity provided us a guy like that, I'd be grateful. And ok if it never happened.

For a team like the Kings who truly haven't had any infusion of a good veteran character leader (unless you count John Salmons, Chuck Hayes, Aaron Brooks), I could see this whole 'good locker guy' thing being a plus

Rajon Rondo is an elite PG. I'll say it again...once you get to his tier level, it's a matter of preference and how your team is built.

Dudes need to accept that Rondo was just as important to the Celtics as the rest of the big 3 during their run. He's arguably been their best player last 2-3 years.

I just remembered Jason Terry talking smack about Sacramento last year when the Kings looked like they were headed to Seattle

I agree with you. But saying "he's a good locker room guy" tells you everything you need to know about them on the court. It's like me phoning home and telling my family about my new girlfriend who is a great cook.

No argument on that at all.

"So tell me about her."
"I mean, she's a great cook, dad."

"Awww, son.

[thread="571782"]what does a "good lockerroom guy do"? what's his role? crack jokes? give dudes daps a plenty? lead the pregame huddles?[/thread]

[thread="571782"]what are the qualities of a good lockerroom guy? hear that a lot, but no one's ever explained it[/thread]

Jason Terry needs to be in the "Fools Wildin Thinking They Doing It Unappreciation Vol Get The @#*+ out" thread.
Wins a championship with the Mavs
Signs with the Celtics and gets a tattoo of their logo
Lebron dunks on him
Gets traded to Brooklyn and immediately disses the Knicks
May he rest in peace in Sacramento

McLemore has he potential to be a 20 ppg scorer in the league, but as of right now, he doesn't know how to play the 2 efficiently. The jet is a 15 year veteran with success as an undersized 2. He has championship experience. He can show Ben how to get open off of screens and about shot selection. The kings aren't expecting much of a contribution on the floor from the jet.

Imagine Klay Thompson with elite athleticism. That's what Ben can become. Look at how LeGoran has benefitted from playing behind Nash in Phoenix.

You forgot about the championship trophy tattoo he put on his arm...and then won the title with Dallas.

Eh, he's a Seattle guy, so he's biased. Don't hold that against him. (But there's probably some other stuff you can hold against him).

Ben McLemore = Jason Richardson

Always been my view of him.
