If Simmons was less aware of himself and didn't try to be so "Bill Simmons" he would be more tolerable.

I like his style at times, he just gets excessive with "He's a pop culture comparison so obscure that it MUST be super cool and hip and clever" followed up by "Here's something I call the Blah Blah Blah theory..."

He also tends to overwrite.

But I love Grantland, 30 for 30 is awesome overall, and his positives tend to outweigh the negatives.

Lakers fans still mad their team sucks, Lakers will never prosper as long as Kobe and Pringles are there. Should have amnestied Kobe.

Lakers should be bad for AT LEAST another 2 years.

Enjoy.
Oh, look, a Lakers post from quik.

Good to have you back on board. Laker bandwagon is empty these days; always room from one of our most loyal contributors.

Naw, you can sleep like Chris Kaman on that bandwagon for your sorry team yourself.

Enjoy the next few years

I have the same POV. The Boston thing does tend to have me biased towards not liking him a lot though

Jeez Larry...

*Pacers president Larry Bird didn’t begin negotiations on the Evan Turner-Danny Granger trade until 2:30 p.m., 30 minutes before Thursday’s trade deadline.

*Philly was trying to get a first-round pick for Turner and, when that didn’t manifest, Bird said the 76ers reached out to the Pacers.

“They wanted to move him and we were there and we took it. I had to think about it for a while but decided to do it (and) move on.”

*Bird said that rather matter of factly, but it was somewhat hard for him because “Danny’s always been my favorite,” Bird said.

*Bird insists that there was “no shopping around” of Granger but the last-minute proposition with Philly had to be considered

*Bird on Granger since injury: “I know how hard it is to come back but we felt we get a young kid at 25 years old ... and plays multiple positions and do a little bit of everything, it’s just a better fit right now for what we’re trying to do.

“So, if these guys can click and start playing better and come as a group (in) the second unit, it makes us a better club ... because they’re not playing that well right now.”

He doesnt. Bill Simmons has this weird vendetta against the Thunder, I dont understand it myself. He scrutinizes their moves and play more than any other team.

He called the them Zombie Sonics for years

His beef is with management, not the players. He's never said anything bad about the players, unless it's warranted (like Kendrick Perkins). He's said on multiple occasions that the Thunder are still a good team and a contender/favorite, but they created an unnecessary degree of difficulty that could have been avoided. Also, he's a fan of seeing teams reach their full potential, and by trading Harden, he feels that potential may never be fully realized as the perennial Finals team they should/could have been. The window to win can close quickly in the NBA, or something could go wrong. you just never know, and they gave away a sure thing. He's a fan, and perhaps more than anyone else, likes to view the NBA in a historical context. He felt a young OKC team just off its first Finals appearance was there for the long haul. That's where the criticism comes from.

Also, Durant doesn't have any beef with Simmons. He's gone on Grantland multiple times now, for various interviews. If he had a problem, he wouldn't have done a BS Report last week.

Oh I know that its about the management moreso than the players, but I really do think that KD has an issue with the way he goes on about the Thunder. Could easily be wrong though.

Went to the OKC-MIA game last night, electric atmosphere. View media item 817799
Bron. :pimp:

I wanted to but I've been selling all my tickets early and not charging enough to allow me to get back in if I decide afterwards that I do in fact want to go, becuase I only do lower levels. Sold my ticket for $300, looked on ticketexchange yesterday around 5 and that wasn't getting you out of Loud City so I said **** it, tv it is.

I still remember you P proshares , being at the gym hella early

If Durant had any type of beef, or if OKC felt Simmons was going to go in on him, he wouldn't have done a BS Report. The fact he did it is enough for me to think there's no issue.

I can't even decide what I want for lunch in 30 minutes.
Gotta delegate that down to someone else. We have a guy who comes in around 6:30am and by the time I'm in around 8, he already knows what we're ordering

I need that for real lol. Don't think my boss would appreciate me sending my legal assistants to get my lunch. Figuring out what I'm gonna do for lunch takes way more time than it should smh. I need a system!
