You might like it, but it was a nightmare for the NBA. Middle class white America got their reason to call NBA players thugs and tuned out the league.
which is funny cause basketball players in general are soft as pillows compared to football players which white america can't live without

That's a little extremes going into the stands...I'm talking about players that intentionally get under your skin Bruce Bowens Doug Christie Bevs of the world it's guys like that I would not hesitate to swing on fine me I'll see you the next game

Missed a lot of ball yesterday due to free agency. Spurs turning on the turbo jets at the right time. We just gotta fall back and see if its likely to crash and burn in the playoffs :smh:

 Where are the Heat fans who were wishfully saying "Bynum won't play, he's not gonna have any impact"

Sorry but..

8 points, 10 rebounds in 15 minutes. It takes Bosh 3 games to grab 10 rebounds

I mean this dude Bynum was a top 2 center in the L at one point. Look how much space he takes up, how much attention he demands from the defense. Indiana's gonna have a skilled 7-footer on the floor for all 48 minutes, and Oden can only be out there to defend for like 8-10 minutes

Lulz.

Dudes sounded like legit scorned girlfriends. They were certain that he'd come to them and make an impact, then when he went to Indy it was a bunch of "he sucks anyway", "he won't even play", "I'm glad we didn't get him". Fools.

These lebron stans man. :x

Gotta be one of the clowns from this thread.

marcin gortat said it best, we should allow fighting in the nba. give the guys a couple minutes and if someone gets dropped the ref jumps in and it's over. both guys get ejected and fined and you move on. end all that fake tough guy bs.

Irony at its finest, as they sound like scorned former Howard fans saying "have fun with him, he was never meant to be apart of the Lakers legacy anyway..."

This is the play:

how come you don't really hear about this?

I completely forgot about this

Man, I loved the Malice at the Palace  we need more things like that to happen in the NBA...it would make things more entertaining.

Long live the Malice at the Palace :pimp:

The world doesn't revolve around middle class white America b. If watching a couple black guys scrap live on TV is too harsh for them, there's always golf and tennis.

what r we supposed to discuss here?  lin protects the ball better than westbrook?  westbrook is a copycat? not as quick as beverly?

i seriously don't get it

there should be no complaints coming from okc or their fans. westbrook does the same thing. a lot of players do, it just happens he got hurt in the playoffs.

You're right. The NBA doesn't want their money.

oh i see i didn't realize how much people were coming down on beverly for that.

honestly he could have done it intentionally its not hard to make it seem like your going for the ball but I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and just call it a freak accident/injury

they're probably all virgins anyways

Now, yeah. In 03-06 I'd be willing to say numbers across the board were down until they shed that negative publicity

because they are not the same play.. similar, yes.. but not the same

everything westbrook did was before lin signaled for and was granted the timeout (listen for the whistle in the video above)..

on the beverley play, westbrook signal for the timeout as soon as he crossed the halfcourt line and headed towards his bench (which was a few feet from where the attempted "steal" took place).. when beverley lunges at westbrook for the attempted "steal" he literally ends up out of bounds and does so after the whistle had already blown the play dead:

Where exactly is the irony?

Are you suggesting that I ever said anything remotely close to that?
