Only thing I like about the grizzlies is Marc Gasol, they just play ugly basketball but they're great defensively and I respect it.

Suns are 100x more fun to watch, only person who wants to see the Grizz make it is bhz.

Am I the only who rather see the Suns than the Grizzlies in the first round

no one wants to watch the grizzlies other than BHZ
100 % correct

. The Grizz is that team that seems to just run in place when you don't pay attention to them. They are basically background noise in the NBA.

In terms of watching the Grizz, this year has been the most unfavorable year for me. Despite them putting things together midway through the year to make a late playoff push, I haven't enjoyed watching them as much as previous years. I feel like the team has kinda run its course and its time to start putting better pieces around Conley and Gasol. I still hope for a successful year, but this team needs to be re-tooled this offseason. The longer they wait on re-tooling, the more they end up becoming the Hawks of the West.

ZBo and Tony Allen are great guys for the city, but I think its time to move on from them. Find a way to move Prince and Allen, don't re-sign Zbo unless its for a very cheap deal and start building around Conley and Marc. Hell, at Marc's age (29), it may not be smart to give him a long term max deal next offseason. If he demands that, it may be best to find a way to package him a trade as well. A lot of big decisions coming up for the front office. They have a done good job at finding talent for cheap and doing the best they can while keeping the entire core intact.

Funny thing is, if the Grizz make the playoffs I can actually see him turning it on out of nowhere. Kinda similar to what happened in the 2011 season when they beat the Spurs. I don't think it would happen, but it would not surprise me one bit. I think right now, the team feels like they deserve to be in the playoffs and are coasting like they are the 4th seed. They need a major wake up call.

^ I think almost everyone prefers the Suns to the Grizzlies at this point.

I still want to see Grizz/Clips but at this point, I'd be happy either way.

grizz will get swept and lose every game by 10+. the suns might at least be exciting

change up the sub
the western conference playoff matchups as is right now are PERFECT

Dwight actually hurt or just getting his d whistle esque rest for the off's bro?

yes.

he did have his ankle drained due to having a cyst. i think he's healthy enough to play right now because he's practiced and had pre game warmups. in my honest opinion, behind closed doors they've decided we should settle into the 4 seed, and rest guys so long as it doesn't affect our status as the 4th seed. they'd much rather have a well rested dwight going into the playoffs than not, and with portland being up and down, they haven't threatened our seeding.

They were fun to watch in the earlier part of the season when Conley was lighting up the place with 3s.

I totally agree. I dont think either Marc or Zbo will be in Memphis down the road. They're both going to ask for big money and with what Memphis is looking like currently, and what the future holds for both of those guys, I wouldnt give them the money.

Yea, at Marc's age, size and injury history, it wouldn't be that good of an idea to lock him up on a max deal. The same goes for Zbo. If Memphis were to package Gasol and TA on draft day, I wonder what an Eastern Conference team would be willing to give up? I'm assuming a lot.

Keep the younger talent below:
Mike Conley
Nick Calathes
Jamaal Franklin
Jon Leuer
Kosta Koufos
James Johnson
Courtney Lee
Quincy Pondexter

All of these are cheap, productive players. What that team would need is a great player from this year's draft and a few other young potential pieces, which Gasol and Allen could land. Its time to hand the team over to Conley and put shooters, high IQ and another scorer around him.

dont overlook the rest of the post

that solo sentence was a add in & meant nothing just like im saying his solo outburst against okc aint winning him the mip award champ... winks eye & shoots a finger gun

& honestly you totally shooting down dj shouldve made me ignore you because you arent in the know/havent been watching or both
I'm Saying How Exactly Is DJ Up For MIP When He's Only Averaging 2 PPG And .5 Assists More Than His Career Average? Others Like Lance, Goran, And Gerald Made Huge Leaps

The grizzlies are pretty much the Hawks of the west.

Good enough for first round match up / beating and a 2nd round wash.

That's the thing...they've never been the Hawks of the West  . They have the potential for it to actually happen going forward if they continue to run with this core.

2011 - beat the #1 seed and took OKC to 7 games in the 2nd round
2012 - lost in 7 games to the Clippers
2013 - went to the WCF

That doesn't say Hawks of the West

But, I think the core's potential is tapped. Players are getting older, injuries are more likely to happen, etc. Make the playoffs this year and a 1st round exit is probably more likely than ever before. If they keep the same core again next year, I think they will be vulnerable to injuries and the same thing happening. Then, it would lead to the Hawks of the West.

I mean we have a younger coach now and should be looking at a much younger core going forward anyway. It would be different if Hollins was still the coach.

Dont ever compare a Team to the Hawks. Even Philly>The Hawks.

The Washington Generals> The Hawks.
