That James Harden video exemplifies exactly what I am talking about when it comes to positional value when comparing defensive impact.


It would quite frankly be impossible to have a league average defense if one of your big men were that bad at making rotations, tracking cutters, juggling multiple responsibilities on defense. But if one of your perimeter players is that bad, you can survive if the rest of your personal is good.

Andrea Bargnani is basically as bad as James Harden but because he is a big man.

22nd, 30th, 30th, 30th, 22nd.

thos are the defensive rankings of all the squads Andrea Bargnani was healthy and played major minutes.

You swear like most NBA drafts will be composed of 30 players that will immediately make a great impact. Truth is that 90% will become role players/scrubs. Just look at the 2000/2001 draft classes. Hell even the 2013 draft is probably gonna be worse than that draft.

how many of those players are serviceable or even in the league. im not expecting 30 players out of 60 to be in the league. but that draft was terrible is what im saying
