Rose will go for 30 and 7 on George Hill everytime Chi plays Indy, dude has nothing for him. Indy needs to find some way to get Rondo

Lol. KD has no chill " Dwade needs to pass the torch"

"But I stand by what I say. A lot of people disagree with me, but it is what it is. It's nothing against D-Wade, he is a great player, he set his mark in the league, he is one of the best shooting guards ever, but like I said, I just thought, that as an older guy, it's time to pass the torch to the younger guys. Just like somebody did to him, just like somebody did to me and I will have to do the same later on. So I just thought it was his time”. -Stickman talking a lot of ish this offseason

Yeah Indy needs a point. I look at George Hill more as a 2 guard. I like CJ Watson but in crunch time I don't know. Plus Ainge is not going to just let Rondo go for nothing.

You're completely underrating Miami. The rest of those guys on that squad are not "Chumps," they are the complete opposite. Understand, that if Wade, Bron, and Bosh are all out there you're already behind the 8 ball. Combine that with these "Chumps" like chalmers, Battier, Ray Allen, James Jones, Chris Anderson, UD, what you end up with is 3 straight finals appearances in as many years. So I don't see how those guys can be "Chumps" if guys like Miller and Chalmers are coming up HUGE in the biggest moments of the season.
Agreed. Whoever they play in the east they will have the two best players on the court except when they play Chicago. I am always amazed at their D. They are so athletic, quick to the ball and defent the p&r with ease because of Bosh's athleticism. They also force so many turnovers and block so many shots. I havnt seen anything like it. And they have Lebron. Dude will be MVP and DOP this year with 60% shooting. With the performance he put up against SA at the end of game 6 and all of game 7 his confidence is at a all time high. Defenses will sag and he will hit the J. Dude is gonna have the best season of his career and they will 3 peat.

Chi got more than BK, KG and PP are on their last legs though they are great players. AK47 was really their best acquisition, D-Will and Lopez are still going to be the keys to that team.

I hope Chi plays BK again in the playoffs just to prove a point. They are the only team that has a shot at MIA. .

You dont think playing on a contender will give kg and pierce that extra motivation, and you cant double team anybody on bk, too many scoring options for chi to handle, d rose can only do so much and if they play mia bron will contain him

Need to move Danny Granger and someone else for Rondo
This trade works straight up and its the only way it happens unless we start talking about three way scenarios. The Pacers dont have any young guys they can afford to give up to Boston at this point, and I'm sure the Celtics dont want the likes of Rasul Butler and Orlando Johnson.

I really think the Cs should commit to this tank and do that trade though, they'll get an expiring contract and have room to play around in Free Agency.

I JUST REMEMBERED, LARYY BIRD!!!!! They'll do it just cause its him.

The only way Boston should do that trade is if everyone else says no when they offer Rondo for young, cheap guys. Because giving away an elite PG just for an expiring should be the last resort.

A report in the Detroit Free Press Thursday confirmed what a lot of people around the league expected — the Detroit Pistons are most likely not going to offer a rookie contract extension to Greg Monroe. Rather, they are going to let this year play out and next summer he will be a restricted free agent and the market will set his price.

The problem with acquiring Rondo (or any top flight PG) for the Pacers, is he'd be relegating to nothing more than throwing the ball into the post and spotting up. Unless the Pacers are going to change their identity, a trade is not going to happen anytime soon.

Not to mention the financial burden.

Johnson isn't dependable and is wildly inconsistent and pp/kg are on their last last legs.. Lopez is a top center but nobody is afraid of him dominating an entire series.. I think the key is if Williams can look like the best point in the league again. If not then I just don't see them overcoming any of the top teams

Indy is a PG away from beating Mia. Not sure why they didn't go after one this offseason

Been saying this all summer, hoping they would go after rondo or cp. They literally have ALL the components of a championship team except a competent pg.

And I actually think that the east is the stronger conference this year.

Also, I like phx unis in action.

How do you guys honestly expect Indy to acquire an all-nba caliber point guard. Yeah it'd be nice, just like it'd be nice if they acquired Lebron durant and melo too

Indy doesn't even need an all star point guard. They just need someone competent and not named George Hill.

Exactly. Some of you are operating on some nba 2k logic suggesting rondo and Chris Paul to the pacers. Lol. Hell even in 2k you wouldn't be able to pull that kind of bs

I don't even blame George hill. They played the heat as tough as anyone. If PG continues to develop and Hibbert improves, they could overtake Miami this season.

Maybe even Danny granger can get it going by then.

George Hills only problem is that he doesnt assist the basketball.  Alot of that is the fact that they play in the post so much, but he isn't really skilled at initiating offense.  He is a great defender, a leader and a competent scorer.  I like him, and they just gave him a 5 year extension.  I would love Rondo, hes my favorite player in the league now, but that sounds more like fantasy than reality

Indy is right there even without a consistent point guard. Granger looks fine in preseason. Seems to be taking to the lesser role quite well

I'm not even playing when I say this: Chris paul is easily better than lebron and is the best player in the world. I feel he's slighted a bit b/c he's not a high flier. I'm not a fan of his (mainly b/c of the flopping) but I'm a fan of great basketball. Eerily, we look a lot alike and coincidentally, my game has always been a diet version of his, even years before I even knew who he was.

Dude you've been wilding the past few posts. Paul is far and away the best point in the world IMO but I think you need some rest
