I know you Rockets fans aren't dumb enough to REALLY think you're getting Jeff Green and Bass for Asik.

I already posted what the three team deal sounded like to me.

Rockets - Bass, Gerald Wallace, Celtics 1st rounder
Celtics - Asik, Evan Turner
Sixers - Jeff Green

Probably other pieces involved but that sounded like the main parts to me. Maybe the Sixers take on Wallace's deal instead to get another 1st rounder and maybe Hawes/Thad could be involved.

stick to playing PG, and not GM

I know the Kings lost... But Cousins looked every bit an All Star for the first 3 quarters yesterday until the Cats doubled him the entire 4th quarter. It was unreal to see how well he played.

Someone pls post the highlights, his play in the post was very much Al Jefferson-inspired with the number of up fakes, footwork, and up and unders. Never really saw any of that for such a long stretch from Cousins ever.

I think Portland would be worse w/ Wall.
Coming from a Portland fan, I'd take Wall>Dame

Wall is a better passer and athlete. If Wes Mathews and Batum didn't step their game up this year the team wouldn't be as good as they are now. The team winning is covering up from exposing Lillard who has cringe worthy shot selection. You'd think he'd improve in his 2nd year but it's the same Dame. Luckily he's realizing that this year is not about him anymore. With the bad comes the good though especially his high volume shooting and clutch factor. I'd still prefer Wall

For me Wall offers more. He's a better defender and passer. That leads to more efficient offense especially with great shooters in Batum, Wes, and LA. He's not that great of a shooter either but Wall is crafty enough to get about 20 ppg himself too.

Don't get me wrong I'm thankful to have Lillard and what he's don't for the organization but if I had the opportunity to have Wall I'd do it. Just seems like an upgrade in almost every category.

QFT. it's not even to bring Lilliard's game down. But Wall just has a very elite mold for a PG. and tbh, i think he could get away being a legit all start without having to score more than about 15 PPG

with the thunder currently 20-4 (good enough for the 2nd best record in the league) and winners of 15 of the their last 16 games..

i thought it would be a good time to reflect upon mr. bill simmons comments on the team..

just this past friday he said the thunder should trade 'jeremy lamb, two 1st round picks and kendrick perkins to the magic for aaron afflalo'.. video here (skip to 0:52):

before the season mr. simmons said OKC should trade 'jeremy lamb, reggie jackson and perkins for goran dragic'.. video here (skip to 7:02):

then you have these nuggets from this article http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9842911/the-grantland-annual-nba-league-pass-rankings  :

"Jeremy Lamb's hilarious attempt to replicate Kevin Martin's numbers last season (good luck);"

"Steven Adams vindicating his lottery selection by becoming the greatest bench celebrator in recent league history;"

comparison of lamb to martin (which doesnt factor in defense):

then this is what simmons had to say about harden his rookie season http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/part1/100416  :

I think I want to know what life would have been like if Oklahoma City had taken Stephen Curry or Tyreke Evans over James Harden.

Sam Presti probably made the right choice. Repeat: probably. When you have someone like Kevin Durant (the best younger-than-25 scorer since Jordan), you borrow the Pippen-Grant-Cartwright recipe, surround that guy with flexible role players, and worry about chemistry and defense before anything else. I get it.

But just for fun ... I mean ... don't you wonder how the Curry/Evans directions would have turned out? I wish we could play them out in an alternate universe "Lost"-style just to see what would happen. My best guesses:

The Evans Universe:  Makes the Zombie Sonics better on paper, screws them up in real life. Russell Westbrook would be threatened as the primary playmaker/distributor; Durant would be threatened as the alpha dog. From a chemistry standpoint, I'm dubious. I just don't think you need him. Think of it this way: I'm already making you dinner with Durant as my main course. He's the $200 slab of filet mignon on the bone. We're at a table with 10 other people. We're chowing down. We already have a Caesar salad (Westbrook), cream of mushroom soup (Serge Ibaka), potatoes au gratin (Jeff Green), asparagus (Thabo Sefolosha), sweet potatoes (Eric Maynor) and the filet (Durant). Harden is delicious corn bread done southwestern-style; Evans is a $150 rack of lamb. Do I really need the lamb? If I brought that out, wouldn't you say, "Good God, this is too much food; I'm gonna have a heart attack!" It might be delicious, but I don't need it. I need the corn bread.

The Curry Universe:  Much more intriguing. Fits in from a chemistry standpoint. Hurts them defensively, but you can always get away with one squeaky wheel if the other four wheels are humming. (See: Parker, Tony.) Doesn't totally threaten Westbrook; as we saw with the Curry-Monta Ellis experiment this season, Curry floats between both guard spots effortlessly. And the shooting ... I mean ... good God. Nobody could ever double Durant with Curry's guy. Beyond that, alt-OKC would have two younger-than-22 shooters with 28-foot range and two 50-40-90 (field goal-3 point-free throw) percentage threats year after year. Could it find another Harden-like talent through the draft or free agency? Yes. Could it find another Curry-like talent? No. He's an original prototype. I like this universe more than Harden World. Sorry.

Then simmons wrote this: http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8573213/

in which he said: "That's why every Lakers fan spent the weekend rejoicing and making 2013 Finals plans."

and here is his OKC season preview:

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 1m

Serious talks on Boston-Houston package for Asik have included Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee and a 1st round pick, sources tell Yahoo.

Will be interesting depending on which of the picks the Celts are surrendering...

It was good sportsmanship but no way should you dap a ***** in a highly contested game after he T-mac'd your teammate
