Realtalk, hate for Gay, the Kings, and Sacramento aside, what happened to Gay?

I remember a few seasons ago when he was relatively efficient and shooting at a good %age
Interestingly enough, the advanced stats guys hated him even before his traditional stats became this bad.  He shoots a lot of mid-range Js, which he isn't particularly good at.

I'm not sure he was ever particularly good.

I haven't paid too close attention to the NBA as I have in years past, but is there any other contenders for MVP this year other than LBJ?

25/6/6 on 59/46/78% shooting..... :x

Monta and blake griffin.... Oh and john stockton's brother from a broken rubber steve blake

It was the situation he was in. That Memphis team was the perfect fit for him, and he was just able to play within himself. Then for some reason he decided that he wanted to take a bunch of long jumpshots instead of attack the basket and now we have present day Rudy Gay

At the pique of his statistical prowness (or lack thereof), I actually thought he was solid from the midrange.... but of course I didn't catch that  many Grizzlies game back then.

rudy gay traded again!

poor guy, dude is a beast.

With young talented point guards like john wall, kyrie irving, and steve blake the future of the nba is looking bright and in good hands

kyree went 0-9 for 0 points the other day

john wall is not a true PG

so that just leaves steve blake as the future of the NBA

Paul George out there stat padding against the Thunder's subs down 20 +. Finally, Brooks counters and reinserts KD

I have no idea what happened to PJ3's minutes. He hasn't played in weeks and he is actually playing great this yr, even making his 3s, awesome defender moreso on the perimeter than the post, and rebounding but Brooks has DNP-CD or mopup minutes him for the last couple weeks
