????

Kyrie is one of the better young PG's in the game. He's only like 22.

and with that, I'd say PG's hype is more warranted. His defense is already solidified as DPOY level. That won't change.

Add his consistently offensive improvement and there you have it. HYPE.

Kyrie never defended anybody

One playoff series, one season doesn't just put you into that Top 5 conversation. Kyrie was deemed top 3 PGs in the midst and after last season and now the Cavs can't even string together victories. Consistency and years of putting in this same high level of work warrants those sorts of conversation. So what happens if Paul George falls off in the second half of the year and then what?

*insert new player putting up good numbers* *OMG he's Top 5*

it's an endless cycle here

I think when someone brings up something like "not shooting end of quarter shots to keep up his field goal %" as a big negative against a player, that implies one of those weird grudges against someone.

Well Kyrie is legitimately still in the mix for top 3 PG. If not, he's right outside of that conversation so....?

we get you on the consistency thing, but PG is producing at a high level on both sides of the ball. and it's been at an increasing rate year over year. He came into the league as a project. Yes the level he's at already is a surprise, but he was a top 10 pick. This isn't fully a hype machine. I'm not sure what type of fall off you expect to see from PG, sans injury.

word, especially coming from a dude posting a topic on LeBron

what about all of the BEGINNING, MIDDLE, and END of QUARTER shots Lebron passes up every game of his career b/c his jumper has been suspect?

im joshing, he's good. Just a bad angle and some clear bias

Harden is enough of a ball stopper on his own. Melo isn't helping that lol

And melo would start for Jones instead of sending Parsons to the bench
I'd suspect, they'd want Parsons in the deal..

If Melo can be had for Asik, Lin, Parsons, I don't see Morey refusing it, regardless if he's a ball stopper or not.

You don't pass up an opportunity to get a third superstar because of preconceived notions

Parsons isn't going anywhere. The production you get while paying him nothing is too valuable. Not to mention, the local fan base absolutely loves him.

It's crazy how Chandler gets less than a mill

the difference between lebron and KD is huge, to the point where KD is passing up end of quarter shots just to protect his FG%

kd is with out a doubt better than pg but lebron is not even on the same planet as KD
I agree that there's a big gap between current LeBron and KD, but I don't see what that has to do with it.  A lot of players do that, even though it's pretty stupid.  KD is still the second best in the league by a wide margin.
i would give cp3 the slight edge over kd at the moment, and i dont like cp3 at all

I'd rather pay Parsons than trade lin and asik for melo. He's developed into a pretty good player.

Durant just had 32 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks.. Last night

I get being prisoner of the moment with rankings.. But ummm, is now really when you want to move Durant down on your rankings?

But you also gotta think about your cap room moving forward, you already have Harden and Dwight on max deals and Parson is going to want that bread

Yeah, I guess he's still pretty good.

I meant I'd rather pay him than package him with lin and asik for melo. I've conceded that lin and asik both are probably on the way out. Prefer not to lose parsons as well.

As much as I don't like Melo as a franchise player I love him as a second option.

The spacing on the floor between him and Harden would be :pimp:

You ain't going to be able to keep them, might as well sell high. Morey will find a way

howard melo harden....

thats atleast a finals appearance...

If Melo were to embrace his role and become the decoy spot up shooter he played like in the Olympics while Harden still is the number option, I could see that. But Melo wouldn't want to play that role. He's not going to be the second or third option. No way.

They're good with Parsons. Parson can at least dunk the ball.
