howard melo harden....

thats atleast a finals appearance...

Yeah, I'm not convinced that trade would make the Rockets much better than they are now. The Rockets already score a ton of points, so what would Melo really be adding? Its not like Melo would produce that much more than what the Rockets are getting from Parsons now, especially when you factor in that Harden and Dwight are still going to need their touches. I guess he'd help in the half court sets when the Rockets are in the playoffs, but I still don't see him improving the Rockets significantly, since they're already pretty good.

I'd like that trade for the Knicks a lot though. I think they'd be much better with Lin, Asik and Parsons and certainly would be more enjoyable to watch.

Kd is no where near LeBron. Kd can't pass or play the D like lebreezy

No one is like LeBron, let's just step away from that line of conversation for a minute.

That said, there were plenty of players near LeBron 3 or 4 years ago. Durant isn't close to his peak yet, he could be that dominant one day.

If Melo were to embrace his role and become the decoy spot up shooter he played like in the Olympics while Harden still is the number option, I could see that. But Melo wouldn't want to play that role. He's not going to be the second or third option. No way.

They're good with Parsons. Parson can at least dunk the ball.
If Melo embraces his role as #2 it would be pretty dope. The Rockets really could try to replicate what Miami did with their three stars.

I'd keep Parsons too

I don't think Melo as a #1 is a problem. It's just that you have to other pieces that compliment him perfectly in order to succeed.

Will there be 3 basketballs?

howard doesnt need the ball much and i think he will shut the **** up if it meant winning a title...

harden would be the main ball handler

and we all saw how melo thrives with other stars around him at the olympics...

If everything goes perfectly, yes...

If it doesn't those could be some scary ugly offensive sets.  Melo and Harden taking turns just like the Knicks do now.

The olympics had world class playmakers like Paul and LeBron setting Melo up.  Harden is a good playmaker but he's mostly a scorer.

durant will never be as dominant as lebron is right now

Also- Morey is advanced stats obsessed.  He hates mid-range jumpers.  I wonder if Melo fits his criteria.

Why do people want to believe in melo so bad?

Just face it, dude doesnt have what it takes.
I tried to look for a nodding emoticon but there isn't one.

If you're a chucker or an iso player people on here will defend you until you wash out all the way to Mongolia, and then they'll say "See, I told you he could win with the right coach/teammate/owner/fans/shoes/breakfast."

Just when i thought the East was coming up, BK & NYK aren't playing well, D Rose is out again.

Lakers are 12th place on the West and would be tied for 3rd spot in the East:x
Minnesota is 13th place and would be 4th place on the East. :x

KD can catch Bron when he's about 28 or 29

It's beautiful that we get to watch two prodigies of the game in their primes together.

Probably have never been two guys blessed with the combination of genetics and actual basketball skill like these two men on the wing
I get what you are saying and agree. But sometimes I feel bad for Durant he is so amazing and I feel he still isnt fully appreciated because of how good lebron is. Just like Miller Barkley Malone even Robinson pre duncan. I feel they were over shadowed by his airness. I guess what Im trying to say is i would like to see durants career if lebron wasnt in the league.

With that being said It truly is a pleasure to watch these two savants display their gifts. They both are once in a generation maybe lifetime type players. I think they are the top 2 players and it isnt close. I do however feel that its isnt close between Lebron and Durant.

Just check the evidence and continue to do so forever until you admit I'm right.

I think half the Knicks fans I argued with last year or the year before are secretly there already.

You know the drill: One of the worst playoff records ever, bad career shooting %, makes teammates worse, horrible leader, kills offensive sets, hard to coach...

Yeah, not a top player.  If you like players who take lots of shots and get lots of points then you might like him.  But sorry.
