there will still be bozo organizations like the knicks, for example, making terrible decisions in the front office, yet still making lots of money because of the market they're in

a better league is about better players and smart decisions by respective team owners/management in given markets, not necessarily about the fanbase(s)

I don't want a better league, I want a better team.

They're already making money, it would just be about convincing them they'd make more money via contraction somehow. Maybe less teams and more international road games.
