At Memphis, Rose had a TON of games where he scored in the single digits. Like 10+ games, more than a quarter of the season

Jus sayin.
Yeah, but Rose wasn't hyped up to be a generational type player.

Again, the hype was excessive it's not Wiggins' fault, but he isn't what the media wanted him to be. He could still turn out to be a fine pro though.

Kyrie has more passion than Wall? Lol. Anyway, it's really not even debatable who's better. Kyrie is a better shooter. That's it. Wall does everything else on the basketball court better. I fail to see how kyrie even has more potential.

Safe to say John Wall> Kyrie this year? [emoji]128064[/emoji]
It isn't even really a question. Irving doesn't understand how to play the PG position. I'd take Lillard over him tbh

I agree about Wall, but....

You can't say he doesn't understand how to play the PG position and then say you'd take Lillard over him. Lillard is not that good of a PG floor general wise. To be fair Aldridge and Batum make Lillards PG duties 100000x easier.
You're right about Lillard having a better system and teammates around him. He definitely, to me, has more poise as a floor general than Kyrie though. When I watch Irving, I see a lot of fancy dribbling but not a lot of finding teammates, creating plays for others, etc

This article breaks down a lot of the things he needs to improve on:

A lot of that is coaching. If Lillard was on the Cavs or had to deal with Mike Brown I'm sure his development would be stunted as well. But I'm just saying that right now, imo Lillard is further along as a pure point guard than Kyrie. Not saying he will always be better or Kyrie won't improve there in the future (Lillard is also a couple years older than Kyrie, too).

situation wise i would say lillard is the luckiest of the three, with wall coming in second. being part of the mess that is the cavs is not helping kyree's development, he's pretty much just given the ball and told to go out and play (mike brown's style) except he's no where close to having the offensive talent that lebron or kobe does to make it work in this kind of system.

not comparing kyree to lebron or kobe, just saying that you need your superstar to be lebron/kobe status to make mike browns lack of an offensive system look acceptable

kyrie & lillard are both the same score first pg's, lillard has more talent around him & cant manage to get more assist than kyrie, so how is he a better floor general?

at Dirk spitting on the hardwood.

Irving has a much higher usage% than Lillard, his assists are low for someone who has the ball as much as he does. He was ranked statistically as one of the top 10 ballhogs in the NBA (check the NBA advanced stats thread).

You can blame it on the Cavs system/lack of talent but it is what it is. Lebron was a SF and he averaged more assists than Kyrie at a younger age, with equally bad teammates. Either you have court vision or you don't.

Kyrie is extremely overrated, his team sucks year in year out and this year he has plenty of talent around him in a scrub conference and instead of taking that next step they get washed by bums (Boston Celtics by 17 this past Friday) on a regular basis.

Keep ridin' this kids nuts because of his crossover and offensive capabilities instead of what he/his team produces in the win column.

?

Beas averaged 26/12, averaged 30/20 at one point, had SEVERAL 40point-10rebound games & still was drafted after Rose

Rose's hype was insane.
Yeah Rose didn't really start shutting people up until March. Alot of people were screaming "not impressed" before then.

I was a fan of Kyrie but this year all I've seen was him ball hog and turn the ball over alot in clutch situations. I don't see him taking that next step and being a leader n floor general in the next few years

I'm saying, yeah dude is fun to watch in those olympic/all-star games but so is Melo and we all know how NT likes to slay him for his losing ways... same rules apply in my eyes, 5-12 in that scrub conference is just not acceptable.

All this point guard talk tonight, I wish we had a point guard on nt to help in these type of discussions

Cmon your comparing kyrie to lebron? F*** advanced stats

Kyrie is a SCORER, you need buckets hit up kyrie, you need someone to take over a game hit up kyrie, i have yet seen john wall or lillard take over a game like kyrie did against okc or even show out against a top 5 pg

Living in cleveland I have this Kyrie / Wall debate all the time. IMO kyrie only does one thing better than wall and that's shoot (and this year he's not even really doing that better)

Wall is the better PG/Player/Teammate. Don't let a few commercials and an 8 second clip from the Olympic tryouts (and now a Kobe comment) sway you.

Wall is a player who makes everyone on the floor better. One of the few true PGs.

Folks and clowns like that homer Shoes where cracking Jokes on John as recent as last week. Chomping at the bit calling the All-Star prediction this season laughable. Look at his stat line game in and game out.....who is doing it better?

That's because you don't watch Wizards basketball.

47 points against Memphis last season. Not a slouch of a defense. Dominated it.

what has wall done in his career when going against one of the top pg's in the league?, westbrook had no answer for kyrie, & kyrie just dropped 41 on wall 2 weeks ago
