The Knicks are a mess without Chandler. Team relies on him a lot on defense and in the pick and roll. Only Knick fans think he's trash
They're also missing the leadership of Kidd. The ball movement last year was a thing of beauty. Kidd must be a wizard if he could get a team with Melo n JR to play smart.

You know what's worse than tanking to rebuild?
Tanking for 3 years to rebuild and then ditching the project halfway through so you can scramble to put together a mediocre-mid level playoff team.

I do fault them. They had all the cap flexibility and trade assets they needed to build a contender the right way going forward.
I like the Knicks and watch the team quite a bit, so I'm expressing frustration more than I am trying to rip on them. Terrible to have two bad basketball teams in NY.

With a clear cap and draft picks? You'd be in much better shape going forward.
Also would have been able to make a play for CP3 around the time the Lakers trade failed. Or the cap room to offer to Carmelo when he became a free agent.

Cap would be used on a center. I firmly believe that if we didn't trade for Melo at that point he woulda ended up in BK. Cp3 situation might have been possible though.
At this point the only thing we can do is wait till 2015 when all these dudes are off the books. Atleast we have our pick next year though.

At this point I guess hindsight is 20/20. If they don't blow it up right away, Woodson needs to move J.R. to the back of the bench and let Shumpert & Hardaway at least try to build some value.
