You haven't seen Dallas play in the past 2-3 years? Carter is a major contributor and one of the better sixth men in the league.

Lets be serious here, who wants to watch the Mavs play unless you have to. The fact the Vince is a "major contributor" only solidifies that thought in my mind.

According to a league source, the Rockets had preliminary talks with the Nets last week about Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin. Talks never gained any steam, but the source said the Rockets were doing their due diligence and (Deron) Williams' name came up. The Nets balked because one of the main reasons Pierce and Garnett agreed to a trade to Brooklyn was to play with Williams, according to the source. Williams, who signed a five-year, $98 million extension in 2012, was playing well upon returning from an ankle injury, and the Nets were looking better.

It's funny you posted this, cause the day the Rockets let their trade date pass, I essentialed Asik and Lin for DWill and it actually worked

If the Nets trade D-Will it must be for lottery picks.  For a first rounder this year and next I have to consider it.

For Asik and Lin would be idiotic.

Great coaching and one of the 15 greatest players of all time still doing work is enough for me to watch mavs games

??? The Mavs have never been a boring team. Especially not this season.

I bet 90% of the people in this thread (who actually follow ball and not just the Heat/Lebron) knew that VC was on the Mavs. He plays like 30mpg and was getting 6MOTY consideration last year, it's not like he's some obscure bench rider.

Chill captain save a Vinces. I had his UNC jersey I used to always rock in high school with my obsidian 12s. Im old and hes even older all Im sayin is, I didnt know he was still around...and other than Dirk I have no interest in watching the mavs play. yall do yall tho!

For the record, I don't think VC is HoF material. And I'm not discounting his talent, especially his dunking abilities. There's a plethora of skilled players who thrive in specific departments, but there's no category for leading dunks of all time as contrary to leading 3 point of all time (Reggie, at that time now dethroned by Shuttleworth).

When it comes to what we define as clutch, the kind of end of game shots or late plays we celebrate, I think there's a strong argument to be made that Reggie Miller was more clutch than Michael Jordan (I personally believe it).

I've never seen anything like what he used to do. He is woefully under appreciated on here, I guess because people don't like his swag or his voice or something.

He's #32 on the scoring list. Literally every player in the top 40 is either in the hall or will be when they're eligible

Until Rubio turns the corner to elite status the Wolves are basically Love and Pek. Martin is doing alright this year but he can't do anything else except shoot and get to the free throw line. Literally does nothing else.

I want the Wolves to flourish in the worst way, but I don't think Rubio has the goods. He's an exceptional player but I don't know...

Only 15 players have 22k points, 5k boards, and 4k assists and Vince is one of them. He'll eventually be in the HOF whether you guys like it or not.

He was a great shooter/clutch, but his handles were atrocious & he couldnt get his own shot on a consistent basis also he was a avg defender & im being respectful on that one
