Great offensive players always get passes on D. It's a historical fact. Great offensive players that also play D is a bonus. Also, there are very few lockdown on ball defenders period. It's hard to guard guys on on one in the NBA, dudes get by each other a lot.

I can't start a franchise with a guy who can't get me 25+ ppg in the playoffs nor lockdown/slowdown the best player on the best team in the league (who plays SF).

Give me Harden.
PG can slow him down.
Nope. Bron hung 29 on 51% shooting against Indy. Vogel tried leaving PG on Lebron 1on1 but he was too weak & was murdered on the block.

If PG sustains his current offensive output though

He's currently averaging 27 points on 53% shooting, 45% shooting on EIGHT 3 point attempts per game. Completely unsustainable. Factoring in the efficiency, that would be one of the greatest scoring seasons in the history of basketball.

Bron went to the block for like one game, stop  and again, it's a team and coaching effort. We already forget about how much flack Vogel caught in his defensive schemes/substitution patterns? Vogel is no Pop/Thibs. You just need someone with good foot speed and length to keep Bron from getting others involved. The rest is coaching/scheme.

To the dude who posted the Jimmy Butler video, yes Jimmy is easily one of the better guys to defend Bron, but he happens to play for Thibs who is a defensive guru. They also have some good defensive personnel all over that squad that helps really well. PG is a really good cover for Bron. he also has enough shift/handle to make Lebron have to defend. This is stuff that JUST happened in the playoffs.

He shot 6 a game all last season and hit them at a 36% rate. he's shooting 8 and hitting them at 45%
Stats are what you make them. His shot was developing throughout last year and is still developing. I obviously don't think he can sustain, but I'm not sure how much of a fall off you're expecting. I'm expecting for there still to be a pretty big increase in his offensive output this year.

Yea, because it was clear that PG couldn't handle him down there solo so Vogel started sending help and Bron gave it up to the shooters.

The fact is, Bron exceeded his averages against Indy when PG was the primary defender. He was not slowed down. He has brutalized Indy in both of their playoff matchups.

Yea, thats what I just said.

The league average is 35%, so last season he was just barely above league average.

This year, he's on pace to set the record for most 3s made in a season. Again, completely unsustainable.

From a scoring perspective, Right now the combo of his volume and overall efficiency is superior to Kobe in his MVP year.

Again, completely unsustainable
