Wonder what the big time execs at ABC/ESPN are thinking now that there won't be Kobe vs Bron matchup in there marquee game on Christmas? People will watch but it sure won't be the same, but it was already going to be different because it was not the same Kobe already....

kobe my dude man i hate it had to be him. this is not how i imagined it to go down..

as much as i dislike kobe.. i agree with this

just b/c a guy hasn't played good defense for the first half of a season doesn't mean you cant give the keys to the franchise. he's 24 years old, damn. and he's shown the ability to play defense. Yall need to be firing off on the front office/coaching staff if anything for not holding him accountable.

and maybe they should have won that series, but KD is the 2nd best player on the planet. They did better than expected, and I expect them to do about the same maybe better this year. after all this is only 1/2 of the way through the FIRST year of this current team assembly. Harden is good
Maybe I should have said the title of best SG.... Houston is Harden city and Howard taking the back seat again in another man's city. I dont think he will make a big enough change defensively this season(even though its before All Star Break) maybe he will make a change during playoffs but few more years before he really starts focusing on his defense.

Houston should have won that game bottom line. F the defense they played and other issues. The team was playing with heart as an underdog looking  to take down the a giant. The game came down to all those miss threes in the fourth and KD being the man knocking down that last shot.

As a Laker fan i said this pgs back why even play this yr when they not gonna do anything as far as making the playoffs just sit out the yr make moves ithe offseason come bk strong 2014-2015 i dont get it :smh:

With so many "miles" on his body, it was bound to eventually happen. I'm surprised it took this long, to be honest. Aside from KG and Jermaine O'Neal, I can't think of any other player who came straight out of HS during the 1994-1998 years to still be playing effectively.

Flex scheduling is needed.

Want to hear the excuses from the medical and coaching staff on this. After the hyperextension, pull him.

Well I'm just going to say this, Kobe should just hang it up.

He's not going to win another ring thus putting his body through pain for no reason.

Sorry I'm a realist.

Alright, well a lot of folks must smoke dope then. Weird shot selection meaning he takes contested shots more than he should or dribbles out the shot clock more than he should. No need to force shots as much as he does. Again, still elite but he he has weaknesses. Defense and shot selection I'd say are up there

he drives to the lane and shoots 3s. he actually only takes 2 types of shots mostly. So if we're splitting hairs over a possession or two a game, then cool. No doubt he has periods of bad shot selection, but for the most part he is gold offensively.

I won't be naiive and say there aren't things he clearly needs to work on, but to say it as a detraction for what he's done is way much. Calling him a black hole, ballstopper, im thinking like what do yall actually expect. if he stopped shooting, would the Rockets score more? Would the team avg be the same but more people scoring in double figures? would you rather someone else? ha, boys just being nitpicky and pushing agendas on how they fell about a player

quoted for truth. a lot of people are smoking dope and the avg fan base is extremely fickle. it's a "what have you done for me now" mentality in this here information age, i suppose.

stern gonna fine spurs one more time before he leaves office. 250k aint nothing for gregg pop

We need to reevaluate the term '"ball stopper"

I think so too, though people are 100% lying to themselves if they haven't seen Harden on multiple occasions dribble dribble dribble for 20 seconds, and either kick the ball to Lin for a brick/airball, or take the world's worst 3 pointer.

Feel a bit bad for Kobe, as he's always keep himself in the greatest condition while a lot if his peers who came in the league with him fell off in various ways.
