You think someone will give up a 1st for turner?

And I really wonder what teams will offer him this summer

He's averaging 23 and 6, legitimately might be an All-Star this year and is only 25. Yeah, we're definitely getting something decent for him.

Something decent and a 1st rounder are completely different though.

I mess with Turner but there's a lot of cats like him that put up numbers on garbage squads, get moved to an average team, and go right back to the mediocre game they exuded before. If he had to be traded today, an NBA GM could easily use that as leverage to only give up an expiring contract an a 2nd rounder for him.

is lakers deal with it bro a fairweather fan? has he jumped ship?

you be the judge

No Kudos for you...

All young, skinny, white kids with dark hair look the same.

Not Serious.

Good Find Sir

Didn't catch the game last night but watching the Thunder Warriors game on League Pass now.  Most entertaining first half I can remember. Wow.  Russell's flurry of shots to start, Steph putting on a show, Lee surprising everyone w/ that dunk on Ibaka, Lamb and Klay w/ the treys, heck even Speights draining a 3

, Barnes w/ some light work and of course KD throwing in the occasional amazing play. I would love to see these 2 in a best of 7

An expiring contract and 2nd rounder? And this isn't some bum team at the moment. They're actually winning games and beating playoff teams with Turner as the go-to guy.

Used to like Asik but there's no room for two divas in this team. You get paid lots of money to perform and do something that you love. It sucks he doesn't want to buy in to being a backup (and I understand) but last time I checked, his job is to play the game

I agree that would be the best plan for both teams but the Pelican's need to forgo this entire playoff plan this year... they're a `Bari or Wiggins away from being special

Sixers got their 1st rounder this year in the Jrue deal and it's only top 3 protected.

That's it though, top 3 gets you either Bari, Drew, Julius, or Aaron. You're guaranteed a shot at 2 of them, and the 1st two companied with Chibrow, Jrue & EG will make you a monster offensively.

Worth the gamble imo.

Again, I rock with Turner... but we're only a couple weeks in, wait for the come down (say X-Mas), then we'll see what these 76ers/Turner is really about.

well your ppl swindled him from the bulls when he was a backup & cool with it...

paid him starter money & he started all last season....

would you want some new guy coming in & making you a runner up to the job you were brought in to do

But they rolled out a whole campaign to him to last summer about why they wanted him...and he went there because they gave him the chance to be a starter. He has a right to want out.

Call him a diva...but what player in his shoes WOULDN'T do the same thing?

Before someone says Harrison Barnes....that doesn't count. He's still paying dues.

Houston should just fire McHale and bring in SVG. Then all of their problems will be solved.

It seems like McHale runs into some trouble with one or more players every season.

he looked like that all game

you can tell dude is just upset

I feel him though, he's a starter in this league. He's already been a backup and shown he's more than that, Rockets should have been atleast trying to get rid of him as soon as they signed Dwight. I need to know the idiot who thought they could play together, if Dwight and Pau didn't work, how the hell he and Asik would?

There's only one diva, his name is Dwight Kemp.

Asik actually seems passionate about the game on a nightly basis, but when your boss hires somebody for a job that you were just hired for not even a year before and you're doing all the sacrificing... what's a Asik to-do?

I understand that.. and I respect that he wants to be the starter, but he is not starting over dwight and obviously the twin towers experiment aint working out. But as a basketball player, you have to do your job in order for the TEAM to succeed.. If it means coming off the bench to spare Dwight and win games, I don't see why he is whining so much.

Its up to the players I believe. Some get paid up front, others weekly/biweekly/monthly etc.

Yeah. And I think it depends on their individual contracts too. I read somewhere that Kobe got a $24 million lump sum payment back on October for this salary this season.

Maybe Asik just didn't want to play

Does this look like "Put me in the game coach!"?

If this whole "twin towers" thing actually worked, there wouldn't be a problem, and everybody would be happy. But instead, it doesn't work efficiently enough, on top of McHale not making rotations correctly and not making half time adjustments. He's a great personality, but a terrible coach. Never seen someone as lackadaisical as him. He only played 7 guys against the Sixers (including starters with heavy minutes). Pretty sure if Harden wasn't able to play against NY, he would've done the same. Sure, the players need to play better (including Asik), but McHale is a huge problem with this team.

exactly what he did

ask to be traded & refuse to hoop
