I know everyone has their own style but the beauty behind this concept is for people to scuff them up inadvertently with the exception of skating. Even with skating, each scuff in the beginning has significance because the distress on the outer left toe could've been a product of a gnarly varial over 5 steps. Or a scuff on the heel could've been from a camp out but you met some cool sneakerheads. Hell, I know some people are wearing these strictly for camp outs and having sneakerheads that turn out to be cool make a scuff lol. You don't have to go to that extreme but the faster you try and distress them, the less significant and memorable the shoe will be.
The aftermath of the white ones after 3 days at EDC (see earlier posts) is a great example. Next time he wears it and someone asks him how it was done so nicely, he has a cool story to tell, IF he remembers EDC, haha.

You're going to be spending at least $100 on gas, about $50 on food, and doubtfully pay retail for the shoes if u get them. I really hope you weren't serious about driving to Montreal for these loloh you're right, it says ladies
6 hour drive from Brooklyn and i have to camp out for a couple days...ehh :x

I guess I hate on it more than anything else I have seen that will deteriorate the shoes is that I HATE sand in my shoes/socks. Cannot stand that feeling, drives me absolutely insane.
